2017 U.S. Nationals Championship Men SP

Rough night for Torgashev but he's still young and he has beautiful style. I love his music......Is that his Father sitting next to Him?

Ooh hard fall for Andrew. Tacked on a combo later. I like his musicality, and have more faith in his ability to up his tech than I do in most of our 'artistic skaters' now

Is Notre Dame on it's way to becoming a new warhorse?

Beautiful flow for Andrew - a bit too curvy at times on jump takeoffs. Lots of passion, needs more precision to make jumps more consistent.

Andrew looks much older than Tomoki but he's younger by quite a bit!

Here's hoping he brings it in the LP and goes to JW.

His 4T was intended to be solo, accoring to the fancystats page. No tacking of combo necessary.

Has there been a 15 year old with better skating skills? Please don't leave your jumps in practice.

Torgashev: Good height but turn-out of the 3A. Tilted to the side in 4T - fall, completed rotated it seems. A bit tight but completed 3Lz+3T. Very nice cannonball position in the spin; not enough men actually reach that low. Not that bad with speed and edges in the footwork sequence. I definitely see a good future for him as he gets more experience.

Hard to believe he is only 15. Not sure I agree with him being in the lead though.

Torgashev is charismatic! Feeling good about our next generation.

Me too. It's reassuring that these young former junior/new senior men's skaters already have quads and tech content, not to mention charisma and energy.
