2026 U.S. Nationals Junior Women Short Program

Annika Chao in white trimmed in grey and silver skates to The Swan. Back Charlotte into her 3LZ-3T - a bit shaky on the landing. Clean 3Lo and lovely spins. Swan-like arms on her camel spins. Effortless 2A . She makes a lovely swan. Elegant, refined and posed are the words used by Gracie & Ben.

Such a talented group of Junior Ladies - so many to just simply enjoy.
Since I will be losing Madi Chock at the end of the season, I have decided to adopt Madison Chong to compensate.
I actually enjoyed this comp more than I thought I would. This evening I finished up the Korean Jr. Ladies short and then watched this one. I liked D. Liu (12 years old!) , M. Chong, H. Kim, A. Shao the best but especially A. Chao
Sad to see such a small capacity facility and only a few friends in the audience. I suppose lots of people have trouble getting a whole week off or affording it.

It was a nice event. So much was pleasing - good technique, personalities emerging, most of the young ladies handled the pressure of the SP pretty well.

No one attends live anymore - only the diehards know this event exists cause it is never publicized, also no one has the money or the time - I had to barter big time to get time off to be home this week and am still fatigued from my marathon workweek last week and lack of any holiday time. No one can watch it unless they know where to look and the money to pay.

All true except for Andy and EV. I think this must be their 40th nats. San Jose was my last nats, I think. I looked and I dont want to out any forum members but including all my old nats buddies, there were very few. And we would go to every novice, Jr and Sr. event. We were all retired and "comfortable" financially so we would all eat out together. a week long party. Now we have broken up. Some have passed on, but after all, we were all old.... You know those 250 years its been since the American Revolution?. We were around for 30 percent of that time. My good friend H. who skated against Frank Carroll, left the world of skating and took up sailing, and I keep in touch with him. Now he too has crossed the rainbow bridge. And I am sailing.
