Wakaba deserved gold and Mai deserved a podium finish at CoC, how is posible Elena Radionova got the podium? after the underotation not marked in the sp, and how is posible Alina won with an underrotation not marked in the 3lz-3lo. Seriously Alina's PCS boost from 66 to 75 really bugs me, especially because was the same program at junior level that received 62 PCS
 
Some comments from Wakaba.

"It's still very early in the season but I could skate calmer than I had expected."

"I want to be able to show new expression, (Shae) put many choreography and poses that I had never done in the programs."

(About the starting pose) "It is beyond my expectation, I can not help from laughing since I am embarrassed."

She is planning to change the costume to the one more like "Latin". In this season, she is aiming for going to GPF and being on the podium, also for getting medals in Japanese nationals. When she was asked about doing 3A in FS, she nodded clearly "Of course", she has a will to complete it in the middle of the season.

it's cute hahaha is it true that she said she had to ask SLB for a program like Ashley Wagner ??

I think this style of music does not please everyone but if there is one person who can make us change his mind is Wakaba.

Now more than waiting for the programs of Kaori, Mai, Marin, Yuna S, Rika Hongo FP, Yuhana Yokoi,

I'm intrigued by the Mai and Kaori programs I hope we'll see them next week, they were not my favorites but if they continue in this way they could be in my top 10 skaters who are going to be a pillar for the Japan team. I like the fact that Rika K, Satoko, Mai, Kaori and Wakaba are trying something new.

I don't think this is about copying Ashley's style as much as using someone who is more similar to her as a performer as inspiration. I may not be a fan of some things in Ashley's skating but the woman can move and Wakaba is not a 'conventional' skater so looking for someone out there who did sell that different type sounds like a good idea to me.

I hope so because it's one of my fears, but some people were also afraid that Wakaba's James Bond would be a copy of Yuna Kim's and yet Wakaba's made a completely different interpretation of it so I think that before really Judge I will trust him, after all we have not seen the program.
 
LOVE Wakaba's choice! I haven't heard Energia before, but it's extremely catchy and so energetic it makes me want to dance :) Can't wait to see what Shae Lynn came up with, choreo-wise!

I love Rika-K's LP as well, though it's still early in the off-season and I think the program needs more mileage to really come together. I'm really happy that the Japanese team went for unique music choices this season, this is gonna be fun to watch :)
