Will this Olympic cycle be a hollow victory?

This whole cycle sucked, this Olympics sucks and the world sucks.

Greetings, from the country preparing to kick a little ass at the Winter Olympics. Cheer up. You're alive.

We can all only answer this question from our own perspective. For me, no, it's not hollow at all. I can feel for the skaters being left out, but that doesn't negate the games or the victories of whoever will win. Silly to me to think otherwise. As for excitement for the games, the media is only just starting to gear up. My family, who only care about figure skating when the Olympics roll around, have started making remarks about it starting soon and asking what skaters are good right now. I think the general public excitement is coming.
