I keep hearing about a skater named Kurakova who is apparently now skating for Poland. Does anyone have a recent video?

Why are they fighting over obvious things, everyone in Russia and in most of the planet will see rusnats seniors exclusively to know who is the best in the world today: Zagitova or Trusova. The classification for the World Cup and the European one is of minor importance.

I like the comparison to Sasha Cohen an absolute gem as a talented and beautiful skater. the difference is Alena is more fundamentally sound and should not have the ups and downs that Sasha suffered with.

Well, my impression is that Russian FS establishment is not really split on just 2 camps: pro-Zhenya vs por-Alina. Most people are just choosing to be somewhat in-between.

Yes, that is nice. I also like Barton he is a perfect commentator especially for juniors. But I don't think when you are watching a competition you have no favorite or you have no opinion who is/was better, the skater won fairly or not. This opinion is outlined during the programs, competition if you have no favorite before. I was in this situation because I like both of them. That doesn't mean you attack anyone.

Plushy thought Alina was technicly stronger and she will win. He was right. He has good relationships both of girls he is not involved in this histery. I mentioned him because Trankov's statement is not true -no one supported Alina before OG.

Where are you hearing this? If you are talking about Ekaterina Kurakova, just type in her name in youtube and there are videos of her. She is pretty decent. If she skate consistently she can make a an impact right away since she she already has the jumps.

I love Alina, but I'm 99% sure that Sasha will win. I will be happy for her, because she is also a very charming skater and person.

"Pretty decent" - She's my favorite Russian senior ladies' skater right now. She's simply amazing.

I hope she can skate somewhere internationally this season already.

I think he's the perfect commentator, juniors or not. He has the most important ability for a commentator - The ability to be quiet during a performance and only talk after it's over. It gives so many commentators such great difficulty...

It's just that I think in terms of creating emotional connection to the figure skating fans, they are not there yet in comparison with some of the senior ladies.

yep totally how I feel. + the outcome for the senior ladies is pretty important cause of the team for worlds etc :agree: moreover I'm afraid to be attached to juniours too much.

Tbh I couldn't care less bc they are at different stages. I do primarily watch it because I wanna know who goes to europeans and worlds. It wouldn't bother me if the junuors wouldn't compete but more seniors [emoji28] [emoji23]

Overall, i wouldn't get ver excited. She already has jump issues - constant !/e on her Flip, and URs here and there (over last 2 years). And she is very likely to grow now, and we don't know what will happen to her jumps.

I say we wait to see her in competition to judge.

I'm pretty sure I'll do it. And repeatedly in the following days. But I can’t forgive myself if I can’t see it live and lose the opportunity to recall the impressions of the rivalry of the strongest Russian figure skaters. ALL of the strongest, qualified for it. And even more so this year.
