Now my trustworthy insider says that Evgenia is going to Plushenko. This is a 100% trustworthy information from the trustworthy insider.
This makes much more sense to me than her going to Orser. Guess we'll find out soon.

Yeees, and everyone expresses her/his opionions so.... open and
everyone has an inside source or a private conversation with the persons directly involved.
It's just... epic.![]()
Evgenia has a lot of supporters. enemy of my enemy is my friend

oh, "vodka jokes", the last appetizer we needed![]()

yeah it was obvious but saying it in public is another thing, russian figure skating will need a lot of vodka and caviar to clean this mess![]()

I know you’re probably being sarcastic but I would low key love this to happen. The two Zhenyas will unite and conquer figure skating in Russia.![]()
Who in Russia hasn't commented on this yet, apart from Evgenia herself?
Alina
I guess Eteri gets what she wants, to damage her former student's reputation?

But it says a lot about her character. Image if Borser said something like Javi threw skate at me for accepting Hanyu.![]()

I think Eteri is being ridiculously unprofessional with this whole thing - that said, I think some of it might be cultural. Russian coaches in general seem much more open to discussing drama and spilling tea than most non-Russian coaches. We've seen it with Raf, too. At the same time, when Raf is negative about his skaters, it seems much more honest, whereas what Eteri is doing is more trying to get the media on her side and turn everyone against Evgenia, whereas I did not get that impression from Raf ever.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to more official news, and as an Evgenia fan, I'm excited to see her moving on somewhere new. She's probably maxed out under Eteri and needs new eyes and new strategies to improve her skating.

He was actually quite reasonable. Basically thinks it's normal to switch coaches because the athlete decided it'd be more comfortable with the other coach, that Zhenya is ready for a long, hard working 4 years, there could be a very good result and Orser is a good coach.
