A bit of a shame i don't think this will be a good season for her (i haven't seen real improvements on the jumps yet) but i've to say these are really great picks for her.

I hope none of the judges take it seriously, but i've to say i laughed so hard at the shift he/she (?) made earlier this year.

The entire season and during the Olympics -> "Evgenia overscored, she thinks she is like Yuna, How dare you?! Flutzzz?11"

Then after she left Eteri for Brian Orser -> "Evgenia real queen they're giving her real programs!!!11"

In general i hate pretty much all the youtube channels that want to expose ISU judging issues, including TSL, because they're soo clearly biased in the way they do it, so the result is so half-baked and biased, just to fit their narrative. (russians overscored,... blablabla)

If you want to do this, that's fine, because there are issues with the judging, but then you should talk about things like lutz edges or underrotations not called for every single skater at the event including your favourites, and not just the ones you hate.

This I completely agree with. Its not that there isnt some truth to some of the things these peope say but that they cant take a step back and look at the whole picture that makes me mistrust them. I guess if you watched all of these biased chanels them combined might come closer to the truth

Alena Kostornaya: Score of 71. No new record but she was gorgeous nevertheless. She‘s even more impressive if you see her live.

Kanysheva was very good, too!

Anna S got 73.18 with a 3Lz-3Lo combo, I don't see how Alena could have scored more than that with a 3Lz-3T, also it's not clear yet if they called her edge (I can't say if it was bad or not). On the PCS Alena edged Anna with less than a point, they both were delightful but I think Alena shows better skating skills for now, she was just flying over the ice.

I don't mind the music cuts, maybe the transition to the 2nd cut was a bit rough but still it is a lovely programm, it goes well with Alena's speed and all those jump exits are . I'm not sure about the dress. I wouldn't call it ugly, the color has definitely some vibes from another Aljona. Kostornaia's has more details which are gorgeously made. I think the only bad thing are those golden wings on the shoulders.

Yes, I am. And I have to say that seeing the Alenas skate live makes them look even more impressive. I‘m hoping to get an autograph from Kosto but I don‘t want to bother her right now. Maybe tomorrow.

Kostornaya is really good, I think she deserved better PCS here if we compare to Anna, who is also lovely, but not yet so good.

From the livestream the lutz looked !, Alena Kanysheva had a better outside edge.

This season is a bit weird because you can see all these programs recycled from last year because they didn't have the time to make a new one but with the new layout because now only one jumping element will receive the bonus, so the choreography doesn't match the music at all.

It makes you think Alena Kanysheva maybe doesn't have a great musicality when in reality it's the choreography. Such a shame because apart from that, she was great here.

Kostornaya better than i expected, she really owns the ice with great speed and confidence, and she holds positions like the ina bauer more than other skaters, on top of having more height and distance on the jumps which will guarantee very high GOEs this season.

In the YouTube comments I saw someone saying that the program was all about Alena being an angel who fell from heaven (the middle part right after the first spin) and had to fight her way back up. It makes sense I guess and the dress fits too, but personally I just dislike the shearness of the dress. Everybody else seems to disagree though.

I just recently became interested in figure skating (last year). And what I do not like in many fans of figure skating - their desire to shock, to impress the audience with their uncompromising judgment. Come on guys, why you can not be simpler, friendlier?

So when Alena first came out, I was really confused by her dress, idk if I would ever say ugly, but interesting. But then like ten seconds in I was like OMG those are wings and she’s an angel. And the the whole program clicked for me. I know Eteri always has little stories behind the program, but this is the first time I ever understood one and I am so proud of myself she looked beautiful, like a true angel, breathtaking program, especially the ending

Kanysheva was very good, I agree with you. But it‘s her first year as a junior and her program doesn‘t really give her that much of a chance to show interpretation of the music. And 67 isn‘t a bad score by any means. She can still be better in the FS.

This could be one of the reasons, Panova needs to bring a skater from junior to seniors where you really start to get a name both in Russia and outside. It was the same for Eteri at first.

Alena Kanysheva's scores will rise as long as she stay consistent, with a clean FS she should get the second spot which is her current goal.

Though i do think the placement is fair here, Kostornaya was better than her.
