2018-19 Russian Ladies' figure skating

WHAT HAPPENED to Daria Panenkova and Maria Sotskova???? I’m hearing awful things about JapayOpen (no video yet) and Russian Cup.

Panenkova fell twice (3F, 3Lz) in her SP and missed out her 3T. In her FP she fell on her 3F and put her hand down on another jump. She is in eighth place, 14 points behind Leonova (7th) and 65 points behind Shcherbakova (1st). It wasn’t completely disastrous but it really is a step-down from last season.

Sotskova, I don’t know exactly what happened but she doesn’t have a good score.

Edit: I found the protocols. She’s last in the free skate out of six ladies. Popped 3T to 1T, popped 3S to 2S, fell on 3Lz, underrotated two of her triples, and I guess she had quite a few bad landings because she has bad GOE for a few of her jumps.

From Jackie Wong's play-by-play: Maria Sotskova RUS - 3Lz(fall), 3Lz(ur,2ft)1T, 2A2T, 2A, 3F1Eu2S, 3F(hand), 3Lo(ur?)

Who is this little girl at about 2h28m? I was scrolling through to get to Panenkova and the others when I saw a little figure sitting alone in the K&C. She had a terribly rough skate and not even a coach to support her? And she seems so young...

I haven't seen her before but her name is Anfisa Sevastyanova. She's from Ekaterinburg, born 2006, and coached by somebody named Dubinsky (according to an older entry list)

Oh be quiet. Nobody says Anna is a second-tier jumper. But currently they are at different levels solely because of Anna's chronic consistency issues. Which has nothing to do with the jumping but with the skating in general. You don't know what she is going to mess up - the step sequence, the combo, whatever - but 3/5 skates she messes something up. Usually something simple that at the level she is at and as good as she is she should not be messing up. And until that problem is sorted out, and hopefully it will get sorted out sooner rather than later, they are at different levels.

When you think about it though, there is no one in the world, male or female, who has a consistent 4L. I'm not sure it is even possible to have a consistent 4L.

"Chronic consistency issues". Right, because skaters tend to be consistent less than a year after returning from a major injury. Ridiculous. And now it's labeled as "chronic".

People didn't even note it when I said that Anna actually can challenge Trusova, which she should be able to. I don't think Trusova will ever land a better 4Lutz than the first one by Anna today. Also, if you think that this is the extent of what she's going to be able to do, I feel like you're going to be either disappointed or surprised.

It was Daniil's joke

yep, but i kinda see that actually being partially true.
For example, remember when Eteri called Trusova fearless? We can actually imagine her doing two jumps because one is not working out =P
And then Eteri said she has another fearless girl, who is likely to be Anya.

Can someone please make a gif of Tarakanova doing the Fortnite dance in the KnC
