To start with, it is very debatable if Liu is a threat, as it is debatable how judges will score her elements on major isu championships. Very debatable.

I hope Nastya T. doesn't retire. Some of Plushenko's Angels skate for other countries, right? So it wouldn't be unprecedented. It's up to her, though.
I feel like she could have a successful season in juniors next year (JGF podium? JWC team?) and who knows what will happen in seniors in two years' time. We can't predict anything with certainty.

I don‘t want to make any assumptions because things can change easily in a year in figure skating but if we compare what will likely be the field in juniors next year...
Moving up we have: Alena Kostornaya, Anna Shcherbakova and Sasha Trusova
Still in JGP circuit
Alena Kanysheva: She‘s JGPF bronze medalist. Pretty consistent so far, let‘s see whether that will change when she‘s considered a top lady and has more pressure on her
Ksenia Sinitsyna: Don‘t know much about her only that I originally preferred her to Alena K. before they went juniors. Has a higher technical content 3Lz-3Lo, I think?) but isn‘t as consistent
The new youngster trio: Kamila Valieva, Daria Usacheva and Maria Khromykh. Right now they are good. I only know the first two but from what I‘ve seen from them it‘s their flexibility (especially Kamila‘s) that‘s outstanding. Other than that they don‘t seem to have any ultra-c elements, just the “standard“ stuff. Might change in a year, though.
Outside of Russia we‘d have Liu who seems like a threat. Let‘s see whether she can keep that up or loses her jumps. For me, they look less stable than Trusova‘s and Shcherbakova‘s quads but we‘ll find out.
If we look at that.. it looks easier for Nastya to compete with them than in seniors with the 3A, Zagitova, Medvedeva, Tukamysheva and co. I don‘t know why she shouldn‘t be able to beat the new trio, unless they pull of a quad themselves. They will be the newcomers while Nastya is already known in the junior circuit. I think staying in juniors one more year could really benefit her to maybe finally get that JWC spot and possibly a medal. Things might change in a year but from those mentioned above... Liu can be a threat because she has the difficult elements but the others? Yeah, they‘re obviously very good and it‘s not going to be easy of course. But to me it looks less difficult than in seniors. I hope, for her sake, that Nastya‘ll stay in juniors and finally get the recognition she deserves.

Kamila already skates with more grace and feeling than all but a few senior skaters. And she's, what, all of 12 years old? I have no idea what ultra-c elements they're training with her. But I can see her quickly dominating other junior skaters in PCS, as her performances are already winning over audiences...https://youtu.be/g3-pCoxaDAw. She's very lovely to watch, and she has great flexibility. I do, however think that there is no connection to the music as of now, it almost seems like someone put that track over her very beautiful performance. This is in no way an attack btw, she's very lovely to watch and I can imagine her being a great artist kn the future
