Alena hasn‘t learned her axel technique from Eteri, though. It has always been an excellent jump for her. Lil‘Bet has had a pretty good axel as well but it‘s definitely true that she improved her rotational speed to get that 3A. So, credit where credit is due. It’s just that the students that have learned their 2A technique from Eteri have a pretty weak and swingy one - see Zhenya and Anna.
It‘s not anti-Eteri mantra. I don‘t doubt for one that she‘ll (and Dudakov) be able to help Sasha get that 3A. Alena when she’s recovered as well. And Anna probably too. It’s just interesting because Anna‘s 2A really doesn’t look as if she could pull off a 3A. But then again, her 3Lz doesn’t look either as if a quad way possible. And still here we are.
I don’t think that’s accurate.
In a way, things depend on the skaters a lot too.
We have seen all sorts of jumpers with wonky techniques and beautiful techniques coming from the same schools from the same coaches, sometimes a coach can teach that person do it correctly, sometimes he/she can’t. Sometimes a student can learn it, sometimes he/she can’t.
Look at Tuktamysheva and Samodurova, both were raised by Mishin, the greatest jump specialist out there, Liza jumps textbook, yet Sofia’s jumps are pretty low and far from textbook. Coach isn’t a magician that simply teach everyone the same technique. Coaches have to teach everyone differently. That’s why skaters end up with different techniques coming from the same coach.
(Btw, I want to credit Panova here, her track record with her students is quite impressive)
When it comes to skaters themselves, some have stronger edge jumps, some are stronger toe jumpers, so it all depends not only on the coaching but also on the student. Nathan is a natural jumper, has very good toe jumping technique, yet his axel isn’t as good and he often makes mistakes. At the same time we have Shoma, who’s often critiqued for his flip and lutz, but his axel is way better than that of Nathan’s.
TCC is given credit for technique, yet Stephen, the guy who actually was taught everything starting from scratch at TCC, has a horrible technique on quite a few jumps. So for every good case, there’s a bad case too.
Overall, I think people got used to blaming Eteri when the technique is bad, but when it’s good, then it’s not Eteri who taught it

that should work both ways
You found an example of Elizabeth doing well with Eteri with her axel, same can apply for Sofia who also learned 3A there. For every example there can be a counter example
