There is a video of Anna's 4Lz + 3T in that thread and I am amazed at how huge Anna's 4Lz is! She literally is flying.

Interresting. Anna is trying to do flip, it seems she will attempt to jump it in program.
Aliona did 3A-3T, but she did that in training on NHK too I think, it probably has not much purpose in the program for rising the TES as long as she will not ad quad.
Sasha doing 3A. Probably she will not do it in FP but maybe in SP.
All in all, this will be hell and I think Alina's quiet "classical ultra-c-element-less" program will be like a welcome mitigation

Skater Boy sure had some vision for Zhenyas life. It's like he's a script writer or something. the bottom line is he really wants her to compete for Canada. I don't see that happening.
five quads is too much. Sasha can win any competition with just three quads. I think her parents really need to get hold of her and explain to her that 2021 2022 is the big season in her career. Not 2019-2020. It's amazing that Sasha can handle all the stress she puts on her tiny body with all the quads and now she wants to add trixels too. She is so historic and so special as a figure skater I just hope her team and her parents see the big picture.

Well, I do read other forums but I only post here. I‘m loyal to Goldenskate abd you guys here.
As for the rest... I don‘t know why it would be that unlikely. The 4A have been really consistent this season so far and Rika and Bradie (with some exceptions for everyone admittedly) as well. Anna’s landed all of her quads in competition this season, hasn’t she? Sasha as well, other than the 4S. Aliona had one mistake on her 3A alongside a few URs here and there. Alina has not yet fallen in competition and seems relaxed and confident. So, if everyone brings their A game, I‘m sure we‘ll see an amazing competition with many clean skates.
Well, I do expect a lot with Sasha but I did not expect that. Expert trolling by Tutberidze - showing the 3A on Instagram only to reveal she added the 4F. Unless she whips out the 3A at the next training as well?
What about Anna? Some layout changes for her too?

Let's hope she doesn't ruin her health, with those amount of quads she is doing, hopefully someone explains it to her that the big season for her should be the Olympic season, no use to risking your health like this before

I want to wish best of luck to all the Russian Ladies competing today, Junior and Senior. My heart is with Aliona (trying to remember that it is no longer Alena) and I really hope all the of them have a great skate.
If everyone skates clean today I expect that Aliona will have a small lead going into the Long and then Alexandra will win the Free and win overall. Whatever happens may the best skater win.

she did at least 2 clean ones and 1 with a turn out.
I find these 3A references a little confusing. Sometimes it means triple axel and sometimes it means Anna, Alexandra and Aliona. (although we could make it the 4As and include Alina). Maybe we could say 3Ax instead for the triple axel?

I have been suggesting the 4 Aces, because they really are the strongest cards in this high-stake game!
Anything can happen. I suspect though that Sasha may well be in last place going into the long. I wonder if this will affect her in any way. (Probably not). The quad flip was beautiful, really better than her 4L. And it looks as if she is in the middle of a growth spurt. Yes, I wish she would take it easier, and save her body for more important competitions down the road, but I think this is a kid who throws caution to the wind. Fearless and gutsy.

OMG Sasha with this content, I think she will find some peace only when she become a world champion. These girls are the greatest rivals and they practice every day together.
I strongly believe that Alina can still learn a quad if she wants to, also I think its good to save her health this season and experiment next season.

Sasha is always one step ahead.
First, 1 quad was too much once and people were saying she'd ruin herself.
Then 2 quads were too much once, when no one even did 1 quad and no consistent 3A were in sight.
Then 3 quads were too much once, but now it's obvious even 3 might not be enough.
Had Sasha listened to well-wishers, she would've been left behind. Had she not done it, and if other girls would've gotten ahead of her, people would question why she wasn't adding tech content when she could and had time, and whether Eteri was holding her back.
Right now it's plain obvious, had Sasha been left at 1-2 quad layout (or no quad), she'd lose to Rika or Aliona this season, 1-2 quads would not be enough to win in this day and age. Her team was looking into the future. Had she not been consistent 1-2 quad layout, she wouldn't be able to upgrade further.
While the rest is playing a catching up game, she's just trying to be 1 step ahead.
A 1st year junior Alysa is doing 2 quads and 2 3A, to me that's not much different from having 4 quads in your program - 3A lacks just 0,5 rotation compared to any quad.
Sasha in her days did 1 quad, for comparison. Where Alysa will be in 2 years? I'm sure Alexandra is thinking about it.

Nothing really seems to phase Alexandra. She is, I think, a tough cookie. I think if she is in last (and I don't think she will be because someone will probably miss a jump) that seems to me like it would just fire her up. She has a champions mindset it seems to me. That, on top of her jumping ability, should see her become WC this year.

Does the < mean UR? Because if Sonya got below 60 just because of an UR... I am going to be mad.
It seems the judges were a bit harsh overall. Sofia also only got level 3 in steps and a spin. I see now that both jumps in her combo was under.
