Alyona is perfectly OK - her prerotation is about 90 degrees on the toe jumps I think, not 220. Also, except for Tuktamysheva the others do not have perfect technique either, but a very good one.Aliona is my favorite skater, but I left her off the list because although her technique has improved greatly, it’s still not as “textbook” as the skaters I mentioned + Rika. Her toe pick, pre rotation, lutz edge and leg wrap are a lot better compared to last season, but now her flip edge is too shallow for some (and her lutz also isn’t deep enough for some). Hopefully she will continue improving it though! I think she can. Her technique is still better than many skaters even though it’s not perfectly textbook.
And I return my words back about Sasha Cohen - she used to prerotate more than 90 degrees. So, no this is not new technique, just a bad one.
Michelle Kwan also prerotated and did not use the toe pick properly.
Honestly I think Yuna, Carolina, Liza T, Alexia P and Tomoe K should have received plus 10 GOE!!!
EDIT HERE: The same time that Kwan and Cohen prerotated, Carolina had amazing toe assisted jumps with minimal prerotation! Poor Carolina! You are too amazing, you deserve more!!!
You too, Liza, deserve more!!!
