Not going to go into a deep analysis of my predictions as I have Junior Worlds still to do. And it will take some time due to the sheer number of entries. But I do want to say few things.
I would love to see Maria Sotskova win this, just to remind the Fed that she is still here. But, I don’t think she will. Based on what we have seen this season, I think it will be a good battle between Mihara, Tursynbaeva and Konstantinova for the podium positions, with Sotskova having a tight with Méité and the Koreans over the remaining Top 6 positions.
That said, if Stasya does her usual trick of 1 poor routine and 1 great routine, it could open the door to a step on the podium for one of these girls. So, I have taken a chance on this happening, and Maria taking advantage.
Kovtun is the question mark in the Men. You never know what you are going to get from him. So, I decided to be cautious and put him towards the bottom of the Top 6.
In Pairs, I am only really familiar with 2 of the Russian partnerships. Given that they were entered in the last Universiade before the Pairs competition was cancelled due to lack of entries, it would be nice if Efimova / Korovin won this time.
I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I picked Popova / Mozgov for the win in Ice Dance just to be sure that they got invited to the Gala, because I want to see their Gala routine again!
I know absolutely noting about Synchro, so I just put them in their ISU SB order!
