I love Hana but I think she may have really sabotaged herself with the continual SP misses. Definitely send her to 4CC if she nails the free again but at the moment I would say if Mai is solid in the free then she’s earned a ticket to Worlds with Kaori, and the third spot can go to whoever is cleanest among Mone and Mana in the free (unless they both bomb and then I guess assess Hana vs Rion)

Edit: didn’t realize Mako doesn’t have TES minimums now 😣

I'm so sad that we won't see her FS since that she didn't qualify for the FS.

I hope that if it is her final skate and retired that the japanese federation will let her skate in the exhibition.

She deserve it, she is a star and I love her skating.
I suspect this was her swan song so thanks for sharing. Oh and she and Shoma deserve high GOEs on their mutual taste in relationships.

Mako would have to get minimums first. I guess she'll get a Senior B this season like Yuna Aoki did last season if she manages to stay high after the FS.

Such a shame there are no Challengers in the second half of the season for skaters who won't go to Championships to improve their SB scores or even just get one if they didn't compete at all in the first half of the season.
Although there are no challengers, you can still get a minimum at a lower level international competition. Looking at the calendar, if she finishes in the Top3 and the Fed wants to give her a chance, they could still give her a provisional nom and send her to a January international to get a worlds minimum. I don’t think it’s gonna happens though, with how packed the Japanese field is and having multiple other skaters having met the criteria already. :(

I think they would send her to a Senior B this season, like they did with Yuna Aoki last season. If before Worlds (to get minimums) or Triglav Trophy like for Yuna is probably also a bit dependent on how the other skaters do in the Free. If skaters who already have mins recover well, she'll probably not be sent out for minimums, but after Worlds.
