So eteri needs to talk badly about every good skater that leaves her? Is it necessary to put things from years ago into this post

i also had this thought, but then another poster reminded me unless there is some sort of contract, Plushenko can do whatever he wants. he could have drew in Sasha with promises of giving her what she wanted, and once she was in without the option of going back to Eteri, knew he could do whatever he wanted. of course he wants to build his school and getting as many prominent skaters in is probably high on his list. of course we don't know if that's what happened, but it's a possibility.
This caught me completely by surprise since Alyona had such a great season…
Also, the tone of Eteri’s post was bizarre and downright unprofessional imo. As the adult, she should know better than to drag a sixteen-year-old (and others) and air dirty laundry in public yet again.

From the news we have two separate timelines: Sasha's negotiations with Plushenko and Aliona's negotiations with Plushenko. It seems that they were taking place at the same time or had some overlap, but I doubt that either knew of the other's plans.
I still think there's a big difference between talking to Plushenko and agreeing to move camps, and even though we have Eteri's post, I'm still not so sure what was and wasn't official two/three months ago.

Sorry but when has eteri acted like an adult when a skater leaves her? From yulia to zhenya to sasha to aljona . Evertime someone leaves her she seems to feel the need to drag them through the mud . Thats not how a mature adult in her mid fourtys acts. And that is my opinion on her behavior

Exactly, never. Evgenia is rude and didn’t give her flowers, Alexandra is money-hungry, Alyona is hard to work with… and so on.

now that we know this is 99% true, I am thinking after the Zhilinas and Trusova leaving and now Aliona, she may be so angry and frustrated that she acted out of emotion. i can imagine it's really hard to lose such prominent skaters you brought to such high success, but she needs to realize none of these girls have a duty to stay with her and it was especially childish and immature to throw previous students who left literally years ago under the bus. they are not bound to loyalty to TT. these girls are still children, they are teenagers and it is really uncalled for. i hope after she processes her emotions she issues a public apology.

What doesn’t make sense to me is why would she stay with Eteri if the papers were being done in May. Unless Eteri didn’t know about her leaving until very recently. I wouldn’t have the guts to tell Eteri I was gonna switch to Pluschenko and then keep attending her rink classes.
I think Eteri was caught off guard and just found out about it now that the papers are totally ready. She probably feels stabbed in the back, because the programs were already being made. I really doubt she would keep the Daniil programs.

Oh, I don't think she particularly cares about the fact that they're only teenagers. When has she ever apologized for making insulting comments about her former students? Time and time again, this woman proves that this is just who she is. From Yulia to Evgenia to Sasha and now Aliona, she publicly exposes private conflicts between her and her ex-students. Maybe if she did this with one skater, we could guess that the skater may have been problematic. How many skaters has it been in the past 6 years now? At her age, being overcome with emotion isn't justification enough to be publicly insulting young skaters. And whether or not a skater was actually problematic, it's not her job to be exposing private conflicts of teenagers to the world.

Can you keep programs if you're changing coaches????
Aren't they the property of whoever the choreographer is. Since it's all in house and the split seems acrimonious won't they be demanding their programs back?

I guess it depends on the agreement between the choreographer and the skater and the choreographer as an author has to agree. The other thing is whether Aliona wants to keep the programs and what are her chances to get another ones.

Let something start, finally, some true skating, this off-season will drive me mad soon.
On the other hand I'm so curious, I wanna see the results and consequences after this summer.

I think it's just cruel to us fans that there is all this drama, intrigue and potential for all these fascinating showdowns on ice but......no skating! Nope! No competitions!
