It is really a mystery to me why people still watch TSL. There's never something good in their videos.

Let me make an observation like @Flanker:

People watch their videos and when they hear something blatantly stupid (which I guess is often because they don't know what they're talking about) about someone they like or someone they don't like with which they agree, they come to the forum and say "TSL said this, it makes a point, blah blah".

However, when they hear something they disagree with, then it's all "TSL are disrespectful, they gossip, they don't provide facts".

Just don't watch them. There's really no point in it, and sorry, but it gets a bit tiring reading how their videos are bad after every video is posted....

I think I read something similar in one of the Russian forums. Some even think that that Prince Sergey does not speak to Sasha because this is forbidden by Alyona.
That would be pretty strange. I'd hope that the coaches wouldn't let themselves get pushed around like that. It's important to remember who actually is in charge there.

To be honest I don't remember when I didn't hear something blatantly stupid from them

Aliona and Sasha are in charge! ;)

They love that freedom too.

One last thought - is pitting skaters against each other in imaginary catfights a gender-specific thing? Like, nobody seems to do that to the boys :scratch2:
Yes. Also fans are much more passionate about the Russian girls then the Russian boys and obviously there's a lot more competition among the Russian girls than the Russian boys. Then there is the EG Factor. ;)

Yeah, I've never watched them, I was going to once, but then I discovered they called Liza T fat and was just like "Nope, forget those guys."

Everything I've heard about them since hasn't been good, they sound like a bunch of jerks TBH.

This latest about Aliona and Sasha is just trying to kick up drama, as if Russian skating needs anymore of that!

I wonder why has Liza T never had a program as good as Kolyada just now? So strange. Also heard before that Mishin wasn't going to take anymore skaters but happy that isn't true. :)

Valieva's Bolero even being raw and yet to be polished is already much better than empty and over-hyped Kostner's Olympic program.

The real difference is that Danill watched famous Béjart choreo for Plisetskaya/Donn just for one minute while Lori Nichol not only watched the whole performance, but also understood the specificity of the dance  I'm afraid Kamila doesn't even keep up to the rhythm. Surely it's not her fault, she's only 14 and the music is way too difficult for sb such unexperienced.
By the way, can anybody tell me why Danill is so obsessed by Eros/Thanatos themes and pushes them even for novices and juniors? It's so... worrying.

So we finally know how Plushenko was able to steal the girls from Eteri: he offered his coaches as toyboys :laugh2:

I think there’s nothing wrong with taking ownership of the process, if an athlete feels like they know what’s best for them. I think this is how it largely works with Evgenia, Yuzu and Brian, they are able to train in any environment and Brian only is with them for 1h a day, which is enough to give general advice on the process, but athletes decide the rest by themselves and work on what they prefer most to work on.
It might not work for everyone, but once you’re experienced enough, you’re ready to go on auto-pilot.

I think it’s because she’s a little limited in terms of what she can do or not in choreography, while Kholyada is a very balletic skater. Liza is not the most flexible and (although I love her) is not the best dancer too.

I agree to put the skater at the center of the process.
Even on this forum, that is a relatively quiet place, there is to much talking about coaches while we should give thanks every day to be able to see the most amazing women roster ever.
Of course coaches are of cardinal importance in the process of building such a group, but we should never put the in front and above the skaters.

P:S: receiving a good serious reply to a sarcastic and voluntarily exaggerrated post really surprised me

Even the way he was hitting the notes through the program, it looked like there was so much attention to detail. I wonder how much input the skater has on their choreography and if the programs are sometimes dependent on the effort they want to put in.

8 boy toys. ;) but they just wanted to change and to be stars of the show and not have to share everything with four or five girls.

I read on TSL that Rozanov and Trusova no longer speak to each other after Kostornaya joined the group. Is that real?

In that case i assume this is the situation

Dmitry Mikhailov -> Trusova's coach (i mean Plushenko also technically)

Sergey Rozanov - Kostornaya's coach

Correct?

I'm not trying to defend TSL, but they do have reliable sources in Russia and the majority of the time, their intel is correct. For example, they knew about Trusova leaving Eteri way before it was announced to the public. Of course, I don't want to believe that this rumor is true but it very well could be.

Do we know that Rozanov was a big factor in Sasha's training even before? Sometimes it happens where them not chatting a lot used to be no news, but now Aliona is there it suddenly becomes relevant.

Well didn't she credit him assisting her so much on her quads? I know there was video of him with her when she first moved to Plushenko, and wasn't he the one that actually choreographed her programs?

I think everyone just found it really strange that they didnt seem to have any interaction at test skates. Add in Eteri's statement about Kostornaia having a list of skaters that she wouldn't/didn't want to be on ice with, Kostornaia not denying Eteri's statement, and that it was mentioned Trusova and Kostornaia wouldn't be training together at Plushenko's equals perfect storm for speculation.

This was what confused me. Personally, I just assumed that Rozanov would've been there with her if he was one of her main coaches.

And yes, he choreographed both of Sasha's programs as far as I'm aware.

Oh no, that's a pity. But it would explain his absence. Trusova must be quite angry at Kostornaya for "luring' away her coach. At least I would be.

Honestly? If I were Sasha's, I would definitely be pis... off. That was also my first thought when I heard about Alyona's move to Plushenko. And I was upset about it myself, too. I was happy to have Sasha as an unrestricted star in Plushenko's team, which Rozanov also and especially takes care of. The whole plan was just good and then Alyona follows and the unrest starts before the first season has even started. But what can you do? Sh.. happens and you have to see how to make the most of it.
