I may not agree with him or even hate him for what he said, but I respect his honesty - I can react to his words, I can try convince him to change his point of view, I can even say I hate him for them...

There is no sense in interacting with a man who publicly lies, because you don't know if he really thinks/does what he says.
All you can do is stay away from him and his lies.

Didn't she call Zhenya Med a traitor, a spoiled child who ran away and wasn't the least bit grateful and would have been absolutely nothing without her?

If Alina said no, what was the point of bringing it up? Last time Plushenko mentioned approaching Alina Eteri called him a fraud and accused him of all manner of horrible things.

You ask me how I feel about this as a Plushy fan, I'll tell you how I feel. I feel like Eteri's a spoiled brat who can't take any competition and selfishly wants to be the only fish in the Russian figure skating world, well tough, there's other coaches out there, and some of them might be better for some skaters than she is.

And I'd MUCH rather not hear Yagudin's disgusting opinions about Jason Brown or Adam Rippon thanks very much. If you think you can change his bigotry and hateful views good luck to you.

When Eteri showed her messages with Evgenia 2 years ago, I was critical. This time I am on her side with this situation. Eteri has been talking about the problem with poaching since the beginning of 2020 (or even in late december). At that time there was an interview, in which she mentioned that there are "people" basically trying to buy her students by offering them money in form of contracts, shows and whatever. I think that she was still delicate enough not to call names. I understand that Pluschenko has a big vision about his school, which is also very positive. I also try to understand that there is a big "business" part that he has to do besides coaching. I can also understand his need for super-star figure skaters, since he already has established his base. I also think that his last interview could have pointed out his strength - which in my opinion, is not his money (at least not primary), but his Mishin-like technique that is very important for good results in FS. But, no. He just stood there and was saying how cool the kids find him and how they choose him just like that. Officially denying poaching. The posted conversation of Alina was the only way to prove this wrong..

Apart from the fact that in the present case various statements are put into dubious contexts to support rumors: If I were Eteri, I would have published the non-grata list first to prove that I am not a liar myself.

I have no illusions about Tutberidze, she's autocratic, tough, probably not easy-going person, a bit of drama queen, but she's never been caught lying publicly. You may argue with things she does, you may hate her for them, but they are right before your eyes to judge.

Do you think Mishin was happy when Yagudin went to TAT and didn't even acknowledge the foundations in skating he gave?

Eteri needs to go to the hardware store, buy some wood, build a bridge and get over herself! The world does not revolve around her.

You see? You are discussing, judging, relating to things Yagudin and Tutberidze did/said - you have their opinions right before your eyes.
You can't really relate to things Plushenko says, because you don't know if he says what he thinks or lies.

There is simply no sense in responding to a liar.

There is nothing spoiled when you are reacting to a situation where other coaches 'talk' with your students in order to join their team. Put yourself in her skin, and you will see that. Maybe the choice of words is not always right, but to have a emotional response on that is more than normal. And that really happened with Alina,i have no doubt, you have a proof of that behavior with other skaters too. Zhenya herself said that Plushy team (or I would say Yana) approached her first, (but she rejected).

Yeah, I think this one could have been left out of the thread entirely. This had nothing to do with anyone's skating, as it wasn't an actual coaching change. Not sure why the IG story or the drama article were brought in.

I dare to say you cannot ignore Eteri, nor not read about her. A big part of Russian ladies skating (and this thread) has something to do with her, admit it or not, this is the fact.
I hate Plushenko? No, I don't hate him, he is not that important to me. But I hate hypocrisy and liars.

I try to avoid this thread usually, especially debates like this, but uhhh...it gets a bit tiresome to watch people argue who is the good and the bad guy between Eteri and Plushenko. Both of them are flawed human beings looking out for their interests and doing it rather immaturely at times. Better focus on supporting the skaters instead of giving so much attention to the childish adults surrounding them.

We can talk about 'prerotation' again, i mean actual one In Russian cup one junior girl did toeaxel (i think) in her free instead of a 3T combo - Sviridenko is her name. So, if someone wants to see what kind of a jump is called as 'prerotated' in the ISU system, take a look.
(edit: the last Russian cup competition is the one i am talking about, won by two girls from Eteri team btw, so everything Eteri has to prove is happening on actual ice ).

This is an outright blatant lie. What ET says in his post on Instagram is completely refuted by Kostornaya's words in her interview. You can turn it all upside down at least a hundred times, but Alena's words about children on ice and ET's words about “lists” with Lipnitskaya and Medvedeva as examples of “lists” are not the same thing. So who's the liar?
