What to say? I had some complaints about Sasha's program at the Cup stages, though I think she's found the way how to skate it and she's much better from the performance side even if not everything was perfect from the technical side (the score surprised even me BTW). While I see Aliona's SP for the third time already and I think now I can truly say that my original dislike about the program wasn't just because it was fresh. It was better than at the stage 4, but still forgettable program.
Liza Tuktamysheva. 3A close to perfection, but the mistake on the Flip and then only 3-2 combo cost her victory in the SP.
From the pure enjoyment side I would praise Liza Nugumanova the most. It was light, as if nothing bothered her. I liked also Vika Safonova and I'm sad for Eva-Lotta, I was hoping she will continue with improving her scores, but two mistakes happened.
And, above all, without Anna it was rather dull competition for me.

What is also great is that she got all her spins up to L4. She tends to give away points on the non-jump elements, so it's nice to see her work in those areas paying off. She was behind Alena by less than two points total on spins and steps, which is really impressive given how well Kostornaia executes everything.

Trusova's SP music is very good. First time I've actually seen her skate this SP. The music is melancholic and emotional. I can picture Medvedeva skating to this. A+ for this choice. Alena can dress up her SP all she wants, land her jumps perfectly and get maximum levels it's still a boring and mediocre program.

I am happy that Alyona is first after the SP. And I like her SP program, I find it interesting and unique.

It's so sad that Anna got ill. Without her the main intrigue of this competition is gone. I wish her the fastest recovery.

Kamila's is the only SP I love this year among top contenders. The others are just good(Sasha, Anna, Daria…) while the others are just a disappointment. The most disappointing of all is Kostornaya. Utterly forgettable and generic in both her SP and LP this season. I wish Sinitsyna and Medvedeva can come back soon and show off their programs and maybe they can cure my boredom.
