The program was indeed made, and even before that, it was made LAST YEAR.

It’s like what Mishin and Elizaveta did last season with Shae’s program - just switching the music from Drumming Song to Oblivion and keeping the same choreo. And guess what, they did it in lass than a week. That’s what I call fast. Daniil 3 months to recycle a program from last season and didn’t even bother to change 50% of it so it wasn’t that obvious.

So that makes it almost offical that alina probably wont compete this season , no russian cup assignement means no rusnats this year. Or can they give her assignments later on after testskate? And i doubt we will have euros or worlds this year , but didnt she say she was working on programms with daniil.?

Seeing the list of competitors by stages, I wonder why Anna Shcherbakova is always at the first event. 2018 1st JGP, 2019 1st GP, 2020 first stage of the russian cup...

She might like being at the first competition, Evgenia always liked going to the first stage.

The choice is hers of course, but if she decides that working towards Nationals no longer makes sense, doing just one of the Cup stages and leaving everyone with a nice presentation of her programs as she moves on would be nice. I'd just hate to see her last skates be at test skates, even though I enjoy the event.

There's still the GP. Although I guess if Alina decides not to be at Russian Cup and then Nationals, she's pretty much decided not to compete this season.
It's going to be a very weird and unpredictable season anyway.
Olympic season should be the priority, as well as starting university well.

Alina probably only wanted to do test skates, Japan Open, and maybe Rostelecom or Rusnats this year. Plans changed obviously. Did anyone really believe she would have a full, typical season after she literally made an entire announcement about 'taking a break from competition' and left her future in competition completely up in the air-- publicly?
I could be wrong, but it seems as if Alina has chosen to be done with the sport competitively. Which is an entirely understandable and valid decision for her to make. It doesn't mean she'll never compete again (even if she only does test skates this year, perhaps she'll still do Japan open and Rostelecom next year), but I doubt she'll ever go for the same sort of international success she had in the past again. I'd love for her to prove me wrong. Definitely looking forward to what she's bringing to Test Skates with all things considered.

The gp is one event for her, the gpf originally was planned to be in beijing, i doubt that will happen, so to say it frankly the gp and gpf is not really important this year.
