I read that she's injured. If that's true (again, not confirmed), then doing 4 quads is the WORST idea ever. Sorry but it's just irresponsible.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8w1-zb1u6dc In the run through she landed all her quads, desptie the backloaded one. This, of course, doesn't mean she didn't get injured in the time inbetween or shortly before her FP. Some poster above already mentioned that she was looking veeery nervous before they anounced her name. And also I have never seen her going into her quads with hesitation, which I observed here and was probably the reason for the mistakes. Injured or not, I hope they work on the psychological part. Nationals will be a nerve wracking game and she has to be secure in her abilities. I wish her speed recovery from that skate, we know a lot of great skaters who had similar experiences and they managed to overcome them. Sasha is just as strong, too. As for her program, I like the new costume. It took me some time to realize there was a "change of costume" moment, I thought she cut herself on the blade initially

Well we can easily see test-skates in September with the SP which very little time since leaving Eteri, and it was much the same as right now. Same issues. Also didn't have the 3A. The point I'm making stands.

Also, March-July with Eteri, and August-November with Plushenko, or am I missing something? My point was she went to the Eteri training camp too which is meant to be the most intense part of the season in terms of training, and that was with Eteri.

The way Aliona made it sound, even when she went to Novogorsk her conditioning itself was not where it should have been. She controlled her weight, but couldn't replace the feeling of training every day.
The training camp started in June, from what I recall. In March everyone was in lockdown.
I think she would’ve got it with Eteri, Anna and Kamila also had problems with their quads, but got them back after they came back from Novogorsk.
Sure, it wasn’t as good for Aliona before coming to that summer camp, it was 2 months of ice, so it’s only natural that conditioning was worse. She’s used to training 6 out of 7 days a week, 6-7 hours every day, and in lockdown this regimen wasn’t possible anyways, and without the usual physical exercise in those quantities muscle mass would start going away.
But as I said... we’ll never know now what would’ve happened. I think Aliona will get her 3A back eventually with Plushenko too. She’s also naturally very petite, so that’s of course to her benefit in this sport.

No, she didn't. She landed one quad, the 4S. Then she did a 3Lz+3T (no 4Lz) and a 3T+3T instead of a 4T+3T. Fell on the last 4T.

agree about the psychology part but she's looked off yesterday and today. She keeps on twisting her ankles with these landings and honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if that caught up with her.

Well, i guess i will just watch Liza's skate. That must be her best free program since 2019 WTT.
That's how you show that you're still in the game.

Apparently, Trusova was 2017 worlds Anna pogorilaya's level or worse, Alena Leonova 2016 GP France. Incredible.
I don't want to see that. I'll just rewatch her 4th stage free skate. Davai Sasha. You will do better next time.

Kostornaya probably had jumps with 0 flow out to get them reviewed and called. Why is she struggling with spins and step seq?

Congrats to Guliakova for her bronze and Nugumanova for her not so bad results for her 1st GP.

Or she might not have had it back yet with Eteri. As you said, we'll never know.

their dialogue in the K&C:
Plyushenko: Wanna have an ice cream? You can have one now!
Sasha: I don't like ice cream.

I would have shoved that ice cream down his throat, for turning the Russian Rocket into a Humpty Dumpty. 😠
What's your problem? He was trying to cheer her up. Plushenko's made a lot of stupid choices (including at this comp) but he was very nice and supportive with Sasha in the K&C yesterday and today.

Here returning after the censorship of the bots ... Very satisfied with the return of the empress, however, today there was no 100% justice.

I will only say one thing, it is totally unfair what happened with Trusova today, how is it possible that the judges have overscored her so much giving her 66 points of PCS when she fell 4 times and made several errors in the transitions. Enough of the Plu... bonus ...! What do you think girls like Nugumanova or Kiibus think when they see how they with a clean skating are below her in PCS.

I'm most shock by Trusova's performance. That's her worst LP performance in more than 3 years. I never even thought she would only get 140+ much less a 120+ level skate. As for Alena that's probably what I expected from that generic and forgettable choreography. Also the spin and step sequence levels are plain unacceptable. The PCS is a joke. In no way should a program with level 2 step sequence and a botch spin should even get near 70.

I wonder we will see both Trusova and Kostornaya in the gala tomorrow. Trusova has been declared but didn't medal ...

Edit, just seen the roster above on reloading the page. They will and hopefully will shine in nice gala routines.

Kamila and Alina two routines each, what a treat !

Ugh, ok. I hope she gets well, though!
