It is very brave not warming it up but me thinks she decided to just went for it since she doesnt loose anything here anyway.
I think so too! because her entrance didn't change at all and the axel was kept as the 2nd jump of the program. I think if she meant to do a 3A, they would've moved it to the first jump and would've had a speedier entrance. Her axel isn't that high I wasn't sure she'd fully rotate it but she did indeed!

again, he said that out of all of the remarks regarding the technical problems, he - after review that he also mentioned - would leave ONLY ONE call standing and even that would be corrected to "!"
Do you think this is a plausible interpretation considering some of the clear underrotations in Alina's FS? It would mean 6 gross calling mistakes in one performance. Sounds a little like wishful thinking.

Sad to discuss one of Alina's more disappointing competitions again since it's just a blip amongst so many brilliant ones.

Yes, because he specifically mentions watching everything from different angles. On the other hand, he had also said right after the IdF that he had "seen a video" with a clear 'e' too. And it's not about Alina per se, it's about the bs in judging.

Talking about judging, there's a youtube channel of a russian ISU judge, I found it really really interesting.
He talks about how they evaluate programs and different aspects of scoring of skaters. It is more a channel for skaters and coaches rather than fans, since he gives analysis and advice on how to construct programs to earn higher PCS. So good thing for skaters and coaches to follow his channel probably :)

The main thing he points out, that the core thing is PCS is 'USE', aka whether or not skater demonstrates their skills in a program, meaning a skater can possess skills, but if they're not well demonstrated in a program, a judge can't count them towards their PCS. For example, he suggests using different turns and steps right from the first second, this way judges immediately register some parts towards SS mark (compared to it being demonstrated later in the program), and SS mark can become higher. I also found it interesting, that what they do is essentially make an average of all different SS areas to calculate PCS, i.e. he would credit Surya for her speed, but not in edges, then make an average of those scores.

Nothing we didn't know or guess, but still interesting to hear some very specific advice on how to increase scores.

KV did not warm up before her SP? Why?
How could she not one month in and go out and skate so well?

I like that the coaches were wearing masks but they should have still been wearing the masks in kiss and cry.

She did warm up, she just didn't jump a 3A in the warm-up (from what I saw of it).
Edit: She did a 3A in the warm-up after all, as @klena pointed out below.
