He's afraid. Why do you always have to drag Rika's name into these threads just to put her down, like she's a thorn on your side?
Anna wasn't maxed out at RusNats. She can add another quad (4Lz or 4F) in combo to what she did at RusNats and has cleanly in the past. Anna hasn't been 100% clean either. Today too she missed her 3Lo.Okay I see it was 183 Anna nationals, 179 Kamila today.
Taking into consideration both are equally outrageously inflated, Anna was perfect at Nationals, maxed out imo, Kamila had a bad 4T landing today so let's say she could get 2 points more on that... could Kamila end up overpowering Anna even in the FS?
Cause if so that's it, then the Olympic Gold depends solely on Kamila herself
Kamila is in pretty good shape for next season. She'll probably work on another type of quad just to give herself some room, but she doesn't "need" it. But also, puberty will likely hit. I already see her growing a lot this season. She's been dealing with it quite well so far (rippon to fix wabbly axis...), I just hope she doesn't grow too much. Her body type reminds me of Alina (they're also both Tatars ethnically) and she clearly develops a bit early than Alina.
On the other hand, puberty has been treating Sasha and Anya nicely...
Anya seems to have the body type that just doesn't grow too much - Anya's mom is also quite slim.
Sasha - gained mostly muscles, and I think she has the chance of having the longest skating career among these ladies (she mentioned in some interview that she wants to do 2 Olympics?)
Anyhow...right now it seems like these three will be the strongest contender for next year's Olympics!
I have her 5 pts for the clean 4F because she only had a step out at nationals last year. No fall or underrotation. If she hits the 4F clean, she will get more than 5pts. She usually gets around 4pts of GOE on a cleanly landed 4F, so that's about 275pts in total.
But those are all "ifs"...I think mentally she needs a 3A, at least the ability to do it (she can choose not adding it depending on the situation).
Oh I see hmmm. We could also use Anna's SP score from here which was 82.89 so her total would be 273.83And Valieva had a total of 270 at this fake competition now if I'm correct?
I honestly think she can go higher than that by rising her PCS and going totally clean, while I see Anna totally maxed out at your 271.25 best case scenario proposal
Agreed!I do think Anna knows she does need to upgrade. But she's been talking about adding a 3A/4T before. So..let's see? Sasha too will need to upgrade/stabilize and needs the 3A in the short. Aliona needs her 3As back (and ideally a quad because she's not getting as much of a PCS advantage to Anna/Kamila but at least the 3As). Liza needs probably a quad but most importantly a bit better layout - but she was wonderful today! But Kamila also just had the best skate of her life by a long shot here. So...
I think both Kamila and Anna has the potential of about 275pts. Mentally though, Anna will be at significant disadvantage with -8pts behind after the SP. But who knows - this girl has been amazing at dealing with insurmountable pressure ever since her junior jgpf.I have her 5 pts for the clean 4F because she only had a step out at nationals last year. No fall or underrotation.

Anna has been at a disadvantage coming from the SP in the past though. For example, she's always been significantly behind Aliona after the FS.I think both Kamila and Anna has the potential of about 275pts. I would disagree with that. Anna has shown she does quite well under pressure. Yes, today she singled her 3Lo but at this tech level one can't expect flawless performances every single time. She also still did not fall a single time this season which is quite amazing. As for Kamila, there I think the nerves can play bigger role.I think both Kamila and Anna has the potential of about 275pts. So you mean she wants to go for 4 quads overall?I think it could be very tight currently if Anna will add the third quad. There were rumours about her trying 4T but we will see only later.
Yup.So you mean she wants to go for 4 quads overall?
I take as pretty clear that she will go for three quads at worlds if possible, and potentially gaining another quad (4T?)/3A during summer. Esp. if she will be succesful with three quads. So you mean she wants to go for 4 quads overall?
Three at worlds is a given. I would definitely focus on the 3A though. The SP advantage will get her just that additional bit of cushion and psychological comfort.I take as pretty clear that she will go for three quads at worlds if possible, and potentially gaining another quad (4T?)/3A during summer. Yeah that's the goal. Is it achievable? Let's see.I take as pretty clear that she will go for three quads at worlds if possible, and potentially gaining another quad (4T?)/3A during summer. Esp. if she will be succesful with three quads.
Well I think she's already planning on a third quad (one of 4F or 4Lz in combo for worlds). That was originally the plan for nationals but getting sick derailed that. She's landed all of that before anyway - RusNats last year.I would disagree with that. Anna has shown she does quite well under pressure. All in all, if both Anna and Kamila are clean, I think it could be very tight currently if Anna will add the third quad. There were rumours about her trying 4T but we will see only later. I guess throughout summer both Anna and Kamila will do everything to maximize their technical difficulty (and their chances to win the gold).
