You’re missing the whole point of winning figure skating competitions. The ones that “dominate” are the ones that commit the least mistakes. In figure skating where everyone has the same elements who do you think will win most of the time? The ones that don’t make mistakes and skate with high skating skills and artistry. Yuna Kim dominated because even though Mao Asada had 3As the latter always had little mistakes when she skated. Alyona always skated cleanly along with her high level of skating skills that’s why she won most of the time.

Yuna Kim dominated because she literally never fell off the podium. And because of her reputation as the one to beat. Yuna dominated because she was the one to beat through two Olympics. That never applied to Aliona even last year. She started the year behind Sasha. Sasha was the one to beat at first, coming out of juniors.

And skaters don't have the same elements now. And it definitely isn't usually the ones who are just the cleanest. It's the ones with the highest level of tech content who perform it cleanly.

I’m very worried. She’s still not in the best shape and expecting a 3A in a month or two sounds extremely hard, hard on the body and mind. I hope she doesn’t worsen her injuries

I'm not worried yet. It's a show. That's not what she's peaking for. And when she was working on her 3A last time that threw off her 2A.

EDIT: Also a show has weird lighting haha. I don't think conditions of jumps should ever be judged by how you jump them in the dark with a spotlight for fun haha.
