If Trusova becomes consistent and clean she is going to be hard to beat by anyone . She is like Nathan C when he first started - I guess time will tell if she keeps the jumps

clean comes with a big if, she's struggled to do it for the last 2 seasons. It will be interesting to see the head to head between her and Shcherbakova

So after a side-by-side comparison I come to the conclusion that the coaching change definitely has done something for Sasha, but not so much for Aliona yet. Maybe it needs more time.

She was injured and in a bad shape while leaving Eteri in July. Her programs were delayed, she broke her boots and started jumping triples just a week ago. Let's just give her some time.
Anyway, I am happy to see her still full of grace and class. I am pretty sure she will get back to her previous form in the coming weeks. Just worried a bit as the coming competitions are so close, she does not have much time to get back to her glorious self.
Still, VERY HAPPY FOR SASHA! She did not land everything she planned but she did amazing anyway. And that combo, OMG!

Cuteness +5, though she truly exceeds her partner currently.

Six points lower score than at the stage 3, they stumbled at the beginning (maybe once again some scratch in the ice, it seems very often today).

Very disappointing and dull fs program from Alena. First problem is wrong music choice. She's skating to melancholy music and Alena has never been very expressive. This is the kind of music that would suit Anna because she excels in expression. But Alena has this empty face and even when she connects to the music for a couple of seconds once in a while or during the step seq it still feels very artificial. Also the choreography is really uninspring. What is with the elbow punch with the angry face in the middle of the program?
