Does anyone think Mirai might try to make a comeback this season? She is looking pretty promising in the videos she posts on Instagram. Would she have to do regionals/sectionals or can she get a bye to nationals?

Coaching is her main priority now. She did practice a little yesterday on her own, but nothing serious - she probably just wants to maintain it for shows.

According to TSL's latest video, Gracie Gold is in Switzerland with Stephane Lambiel to be in a "competitive atmosphere" and is bringing back her 2016-17 FS; Daphnis et Chloe. Jeremy Abbott reworked the FS and choreographed the SP which hasn't been announced yet. Dave said that Gracie is "really, really good" right now in practice. Later in the video, TSL stated that Amber Glenn is practicing and putting in the 3A in the FS.

Hmmm ... FWIW, Peter Zapalo (formerly on USFS sports science staff) has been in Champery for the past several days, and when he posted a photo (without any humans shown) from there yesterday, he had tagged Gracie (as well as Alyssa Rich).

Interesting, thanks for sharing that! I wonder if Lambiel is helping Gracie with the mental aspect of the sport as well or if it's
only to be around elite skaters. Also, I wonder what her SP is going to be to.

Here's a video of Mariah performing her short program for the next season. It looks interesting, although she had an iffy landing on the double axel, didn't jump the triple lutz or the combination jump. Still, it's months before the Grand Prix season starts, so she has time to polish.

I wonder how long she’ll be there. Of course she’s really, really good. She’s Gracie Gold.

This is VERY exciting news. No matter what happens, you have to respect her for continuing to fight hard for what she wants. She's making some really smart decisions.

But I can’t drive to Champerey! Is this a permanent change?
You can drive a submarine and then a car to Champéry. 😉

And I think it’s just temporary, like just for the summer or something.
