Next week, I believe.Do we know what Isabeau's first event will be? I look forward to see her and following the Junior Ladies this year. There seems to be a lot of talent on the rise in our Juniors and it's very exciting.

Yes, Isabeau is skating next week at JGP Courchevel II.Next week, I believe.
Is Isabeau old enough for a Fan Fest? I have content I’d like to post but I don’t want the responsibility of making it. lolYes, Isabeau is skating next week at JGP Courchevel II.
Yes, skaters have to be at least 13 to have a Fan Fest, and Isabeau is 14 - born March 3, 2007 per her ISU bio.Is Isabeau old enough for a Fan Fest? I have content I’d like to post but I don’t want the responsibility of making it. lol
This year, as I understand it, will be ranked by points, so the actual composition of which ever JGP you are in isn't going to matter as much.
No, getting my information from what the Russian Fed is saying will be the case. (As reported by Russian sources). As a practical matter I'm not sure how else skaters might be ranked. I would hope that there is some sort of oversight committee which evaluates the judging across all of the JGP's.-at least concerning those skaters contending for top slots.Honest questions:
Is the ISU wording of "alternative qualification criteria" the only basis for your understanding?I get that a ranking of scores would seem like a natural option, but has someone in a position of authority actually specified that it will used? If I have missed something, I am interested to know who said so.

Lol there is no way that is going to happen. I have yet to see any evidence of an oversight committee that evaluates judging across any of the senior skating competitions.I would hope that there is some sort of oversight committee which evaluates the judging across all of the JGP's.-at least concerning those skaters contending for top slots.
Clare is superior in SS, yes. In performance, yes. However, I think Lindsay actually has better posture and extension than Clare. However, I don't disagree that ( especially in the SP, Clare's LP is not particularly good imho) Clare should have higher PCS. Junior judges rarely make the distinction.Impressed to see both Lindsey and Clare skate so well and I hope they both have great seasons. However, to me the scoring is a classic example of tying component to tech scores and basically overlooking the PCS criteria altogether by focusing on rotations and edges with a fine tooth comb where Lindsay comes out better to the complete exclusion of the macro elements posture, flow, expression, smooth edges and speed where Clare is superior in my opinion but gains no benefit and even suffers some detriment in PCS scoring.
Agree. Definitely not going to happen. Judging will also, definitely, be inconsistent. However, I personally think JGP final isn't very important. The kids just need to get used to performing internationally. The JGP is about helping skaters grow. So who cares if they make the final...Lol there is no way that is going to happen. I have yet to see any evidence of an oversight committee that evaluates judging across any of the senior skating competitions.

Lindsay is eligible for the 2022 Olympics. She turns 16 in December.Lindsay Thorgren look like a shy person base on this interview : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DaIS_Yi_rs
I imagine that's why she look shy and concentrated during her performance. She looks like a perfectionnist person who like to skate clean and be perfect.
She is a new skater to me.
But, I like her FS : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDVuB1B77BU
The voiceover doesn't botter me. The music is interesting and the sound effect and voiceover make me remember Medvedeva program 911.
To me this program is a great vehicle for her, it's relaxing watching her in this program.
Her extention with the arm and leg are really great.
It's just her facial expression who needs some work.
Other than that, I love the program and for a person shy and perfectionnist that she look like, I think it explain that her facial expression is stone.
Does she is illigible for the Olympic ?
I think with hard work she could be the number 3 US women for the 3rd olympic spot at the end of the season, if she could be illigible for the Olympic.
I would call her the dark horse for an olympic spot. This girl look determine to hard work for the rest of the season and maybe having the triple axel at the end of the season.

I used to really like her, too. Seems like she had a back injury at the beginning of the year, came back to skating in February, but has been silent since April. This is all based on her instagram posts, I can’t find anything else.A little random, but does anyone know where is Calista Choi, after a really nice 2019/20 season (US Nats bronze medal, Egna Trophy gold medal), I didn't hear or see anything from her![]()

Yes ! That what I was thinking in my mind. If she continue to be consistent, Lindsay could be a surprise number 2 like Polina Edmunds in 2014 and making the Olympic team with Alysa and someone else ...Lindsay could very well do what Polina Edmunds did in 2014.
Lindsay was interviewed by Polina a few months ago on Polina's podcast - she does seem shy.
If Karen, Bradie or Alysa underperform, she could slip in there. I'm not considering Amber or Mariah right now, with Amber injured and Mariah's subpar performance at Cranberry. We have 5 months, though and a lot of could change.
