Ruslan Nazarov has also withdrawn from senior men, so just three guys left. Everyone will get a medal!
I just hope nothing is wrong with the Moskvich senior team. Mass withdrawals make me uneasy in the times we live in.

Ahh sh!t. The junior men entry list is also getting shorter by the minute. I hope it's just that the guys all got up really early to watch the Olympics and now don't feel like skating, but I fear it might be something more serious.

Indeed it looks like we won't even get a live stream for juniors either. Maybe they think nobody will bother because of the Olympics going on in parallel?

I must admit speed skating and luge given me some comfort - I just love winter sports.

A quick heads-up for everyone to plan ahead. While the Olympics are going down in Beijing, in Russia we will have

- 15.-18. February: Moscow Novice Championship (elder age) --> qualifier for elder age Novice Nats
- 15.-18. February: St. Petersburg Novice Championship (elder age) --> qualifier for elder age Novice Nats

Choose wisely.
