You dont have to turn senior once you become age eligible she is still Junior eligible till 2024-25 season and she was 6th in Junior nats which qualifies her for Junior national team and guarantees her at least 1 JGP spot. If she turns senior next season she wont receive any GP assignments and without a quad any hope for olympic qialification is out of the question so she is not in a rush to turn senior. Its better to stay in juniors for next season especially cause she will get JPG and it will help her world ranking and according to Davydov she wants to train for a quad so it gives her time to try out her quad (if she gets one) in Juniors first.

He didn't say anything really that interesting. He praised team Tut a lot and talked about the work they did together. The most interesting part is when asked if he will return to Team tut he said he doesn't want to answer that question and that only time will tell. Also apparently when he was 14 he used to train at Team tut. He also said he tried talking Sasha and her dad out of leaving team Tut. Thats really the only parts I found interesting.
One thing I didn't like was him conforming that Sasha didn't want to train with Aliona which is why they stopped working together like leave it be why start drama now especially when they are back working under the same team.

It seems that Osokina's 7th place at Junior Nationals was the key here. The top 6 are on the National Team.
But Osokina was beaten by Frolova by only 0.04 points. It would be really depressing to think that that point margin was the reason for her to switch to pairs.

I don’t think 7th was a deciding factor. Come on, they’re in this sport for so long, they know that a tiny margin shouldn’t be deciding their whole career.
Who knows, maybe she got injured (it looked like she did), maybe she just doesn’t believe she can learn quads/3A and doesn’t want to settle for near-podiums or occasional podiums from time to time. Maybe she herself wanted to be a pairs skater even before that, but decided to give her singles career one last shot this season.
It doesn’t have to be over 0.04 points, perhaps she just wants to be a pairs skater, there’s a ton of girls who don’t have 3A/quads and are still competing.
So which junior girls can compete at Senior Nationals this year? I am not sure of the birth date of all of them, but it seems there are A LOT of girls that are eligible for Senior Nationals.

You're right. Maybe I shouldn't speculate. But it is safe to say that figure skating is a cruel sport sometimes...especially for talented young Russian girls that will never get the chance to compete internationally.
Out of all the girls you mentioned its most likely they will all focus on juniors (since that is what they primarily are) and firstly focus on making junior nationals. I fully expect 4-5 of these girls to make RusNats through the JGPF and maybye one or two more that get JGPs will attempt the senior Russian cup. Here I could see someone like Anna F doing that but probably not the ones who are still international junior age.

I hope Anna Frolova can increase her difficulty. Davydov said she's working on 3axel and 4sal/toe. Her air position is so loose though. And I don't like the CSKA Axel technique. It's all upper body and whipping/twisting. Yes, Shabotova has landed a 3axel with that technique but I can't imagine sustaining a jump like that. If Frolova wants ultra-c, she has to work on a tighter in-air position. It would also help with just her triples too. Her triples aren't very pretty. Similar to Ksenia Tsibinova.

Sergey Rozanov interview, only fair despite him being disliked in this thread.
He only worked with Trusova until August. I wanted to know his reasoning on why Kostornaia couldn't regain her level, but he didn't talk about it. Weird how the rumours on Sasha's father bringing Rozanov were very accurate. And that Sasha didn't want to train with Aliona. But was it even her? It's indisputable now that Sasha's father has a massive influence on her career. She could equally have not wanted to train with Anna if she moved.
Aside from what he said about Nathan Chen, most interesting is that Sasha learned her 4Lz in 2 days. But he also didn't make it sound like that was normal. Predicting what is going to come out of that training camp is impossible....but I PREDICT we will see a few new quads or triple axels from the seniors. The question is who's it gonna be?

Hi. Any recent updates about the Davydov team or the snow leopards? I know many people aren't keen to talk about them very much, but I'm interested in both teams.
Well someone else posted that she is currently scheduled to be in shows in December/January; I think its about like 2 years ago when both she and Zagitova were still "competing" but they both were set to be in shows right around Nationals - she may still want to compete but at the same time being realistic about her chances of getting on Europeans/Worlds/Olympics and its best to set herself up to have other options; and let's not forget she's not on the national team any longer so anything the Fed previously paid for is now on her to pay.

Those weren’t rumors, it was Plushenko’s line of story. I think Plushenko didn’t want them to look like „package deal“, that he got a coach and bunch of students together, so he went with the story of the referral.

Who knows if that’s even true? We saw many students rejected Rozanov‘s services quite soon, including juniors like Zhilina and pre-novices like Parsegova, who initially left with him. So maybe it wasn’t because of Aliona, but because of dissatisfaction with Rozanov‘s coaching.

Then he's following Plushenko's line on that one. I could believe the idea that he got through from Sasha's father, but the way he characterises it is suspicious. As if he was dragged there, whereas more likely he was being suggestive about it to them.
Not left Tutberidze, I mean not wanting to train with Aliona when she joined AoP. The thing is I do believe this. He staged her programs, and there were no competitions to say she was doing good or bad. After gaining back all her quads I don't know what more else could she expect, and Plushenko was taking charge with her. But it looks like there are some secrets to spill, ones he never will. I badly want to hope. She just has so much to do compared to all the others. My initial reaction was to be shocked, maybe in the most optimistic part of my mind she'll only be there 2-3 more days and can then join everyone else. She always wanted to compete Alegria and Masquerade Waltz so it's something to cling to.
Well I think we see her compete unless she gets injured again but it doesn't surprise me if we see her prioritize her non-competitive skating opportunities because thats where her future is at
I don't know, but I think it is not likely that Sasha had any problems whatsoever with Anna. And that also really showed in all the backstage footage we got from Nationals and Worlds this year. The only two competitions they competed against each other. It looks like real friendship.
I think that Sasha left because she wanted to do more quads. However, there might have been some kind of situation where Alyona took up too much space. After all, Alyona was the most successful of the 3A in their debut senior season, and maybe Sasha (or her father!) picked up on that and decided to leave.
