doesn't have intentions to compete, apparently she's going to be performing in an ice show from July 1 to September 30th.
by your logic, Stepanova/Bukin & Sinitsina/Katsalapov don't have any intentions to compete either, because they are listed as performers too

Saw this, I think this pretty much solidifies what most of us figured that Zagitova doesn't have intentions to compete, apparently she's going to be performing in an ice show from July 1 to September 30th.

i didn't see anything about Alina in this.

Interesting about Rozanov trying to leave Plushenko, though.

edit: i assume this is what you were trying to share

This news is a month old. The article was published on May 4th.

Both of those teams have been actively competing and are at the top of their discipline in their own country and near the top in the world, Zagitova has been on what an 18 month break and was arguably significantly behind the top 3 skaters at that time in her own country before we even consider adding Valieva and any of the other incoming skaters to the mix. So a huge chunk of the off-season leading into the Olympic season she is going to be committed to skating at this show, doesn't sound like there would be much in the way of opportunities to get back into competition shape to do a 7 triple program and possibly upgrade her content to be competitive and based on the GPF before her break, I don't think she's going to have motivation or desire to go compete with little chance chance of winning and possibly struggling to even podium.

Zagitova will skate when she will get the ok by her federation and Eteri Gogievna's team, the rest is for 2 year old kids.

What two year old kids? Trusova and Shcherbakova are both 17 and Kostornaya is 18 or will be by Olys. Alina is only 19, so what's your. issue? Or maybe I'm not understanding your statement/tone?

Hey, on a different note,
Remember how alina would do both a lutz-loop and a lutz-toe in her Carmen program, but then she didn't the next season because "it's too difficult since the two combinations require such different techniques" or something? I think anna is only person who can do this or am I wrong?

I don’t remember if we were ever given a reason... but 2A-3T actually makes more sense than 3Lz-3T, because technically it gives opportunity for more GOE. I don’t know if in practice it would actually make a substantial difference, probably not.

Really? She'd get higher GOE for 2A-3toe than doing a second triple-triple? I guess I don't understand the rules, they're so complicated.

Can you explain please?

In combinations you only get GOE on the highest ranking jump. A 3Lz+3T you only get GOE on the 3Lz so the 3T is kind of 'wasted'. But if you do a 2A+3T then you get GOE on the 3T, not the 2A. So as you are required to always do a 2A it is a smart move to have it in combination.

Here's a question....why aren't Valieva's triples better than they are? She has great rotation speed. We see the height she can get on her jumps like the 4T and amazing distance like the 3A.

She does everything else so perfectly.

Sasha does Lutz-loop in the free and Lutz-toe in the short. I also think Sofia A did Lutz-loop and Lutz-toe at some point way back (I might remeber wrong though)

If you are talking about 3F and 3Lz, My opinion on them is that she misses the takeoff slightly and therefore dont get the full height she should be able to get. There is something in the timing of the picking of those jumps that is less efficient than on the 3/4T.
On the 3Lo I think it might be a problem with her going off axis (we've seen this happen on other jumps of hers). For people with overflexible hips (which kamilla deffinitely has) it can sometimes be hard to get big height on Lo without going off axis.

The 3S, 3T and 2A are all good IMO.

Thanks! I also forgot to mention Kamila has a beautiful big 4S too. The 3S looks a little suspect to me, but it's at the end of a eu- so I don't want to judge. I would still hope it was better. But I'm certain she can do an amazing solo 3S if she wanted to.

So it's better to do a lutz-toe and a 2A-3TOE in one program than to do a lutz-toe and lutz-loop in one program? Uuuuugh, the rules are so hard! I remember 5 years ago it was all about how many triple-triple combos u could do.

It is better to do 3Lz and 2A-3T rather than 3Lz-3T and solo 2A. The rest depends on layout and whether the skater is backloading any of the jumps/combos.

I used to dislike this program a lot for Sasha when she first debuted it but came across it recently and honestly really enjoyed it. Very subtle, understated quality and if she improves the softness of her movements, I wouldn‘t be mad at all if they used it for the next season. What do y‘all think?
