i remember in a competition years ago Samohin hurt himself and he was quite loud about it, but i'm not sure this time

OMG that was awful! The poor guy dislocated his shoulder. Hope he's all healed up now.
Zhenya and Vovan look tentative
Not saying this completely contributed to the accident, but they really ought to make it a rule not to have really early or really late Pairs programs... or at least no Pairs FS that's really early or late.

Well, there are always different kinds of accidents. If you knock your head, I doubt there's a lot of screaming because such a fall happens so quickly. I think Samohin was likely more vocal after the impact of however he fell and hurt himself, because he was probably in a great deal of pain. Depends on a lot of factors. Just praying for all the skaters to have safe journeys through the remainder of this season. Bless!

Daniil Parkman used to skate with Lena Pavlova, located in SPB, but they would train with Mozer Team. Pavlova tried briefly to skate with Fedor to revive his career, didn't work out. Then she skated with Ruben Blommaert, the Belgian/German answer to Krasnopolski.go georgian team i know nothing about, please safe skate
Parkman does lovely Christmas shows, partly together with Mozer/Klimov Teams.

The team from GEO is a very nice looking team. I've never seen them before. I suppose they are new, unless they used to skate in juniors. Maybe someone knows more about them. Anastasiia reminds me a bit of Aliona. And her partner, Daniil, isn't too far off from looking like Bruno Massot. 
Plus, of course, they were channeling Sav/Mas by skating to their Olympic fp music!
Daniil looked like he was playing an aggressive character during the choreo section of their performance. LOL! It looks like once the music starts, these skaters are going to be able to shake off all thoughts except focusing on skating their programs.

Boy, the judges are certainly raining GOE points down on this team, as if they want to keep them ahead of C/J. How unfair! This team is NOT as good as C/J by any stretch of the imagination, and they made a number of mistakes. The GOE was overly high for them. They are not a fast team either. No comparison to C/J in terms of speed, ice coverage and synchronicity.

Well, good that this team did not edge C/J, because they simply did not perform as well as C/J in the fp. As Russian teams go, I see nothing special about Iasmina/Ivan. Not at this point. I like the Georgian team better. Also, Pepeleva/Pleshkov are better matched and more interesting aesthetically.
