The Junior Men's SP rounds off the Day 1 action. But, I'm still watching the Junior Ladies.

Without giving anything away, Anna Pezzetta was good. Not perfect by any means. But still good.
Gioia Fiori had a really fun programme to "That Man". (And she was wearing a polka dot top, @anonymoose_au !!!) But, there was a funny moment when she was being introduced. The announcer called her "Giorgia", and then immediately realised and corrected himself before even reaching her surname.
And Carlotta Maria Gardini's music was a total mess!
It was "Without You", but it sounded like 3 different versions of it being played at the same time. And not synced up with each other! 
I'm looking forward to seeing the FS tomorrow. But, unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to watch LIVE because it is a MotoGP weekend. (It's so annoying that there have been so many weekends in the past couple of months when there has been MotoGP, F1 and figure skating all on).

A strange thing.
They used a panel of 4 judges today.
I believe it prevents from these scores to be used to achieve the minimum TES.
The technical panel met the requirements (TC, TS and ATS coming from 3 different Feds and having at least international status) as Technical Controller was an international TC from Slovenia, Technical Specialist was International TS from Austria and the Assistant Technical Specialist is an ISU TS from Czech Republic.
The requirements for the panel of judges are
- panel of minimum of 5 judges
- judges being at least international status. But in " in extenuating circumstances" one national judge is allowed to complete the panel
- no country having the majority of judges.
The 4 judges listed here are
1) ISU judge from Italy
2) ISU judge from Austria
3) ISU judge from Hungary
4) national judge from Italy
And that's it.
The Italian national judge is allowed in "in extenuating circumstance" (a pandemic limiting travels...).
They would need a 5th judge and this judge shouldn't be Italian. Otherwise Italy would have 3/5 which violates the third requirement mentioned above.
The odd thing is that the Referee was an ISU judge from Germany. And Referee can act simultaneity as one of the judges (it happens in small competitions quite regularly).
So they had on site enough people to make it valid.

That's unfortunate because quite a few made the TES minimum.
That's really strange. Let's see if they do something tomorrow as the referee is supposed to have judged the event anyway (even when his scores aren't used).

I am so sorry. I was watching the bikes and completely forgot about posting a reminder post!
