2021 Skate Canada: Pairs Free Skate

I liked synchornization, I mean it's really good for a new team. And you can see they're obviously top skaters, but too many mistakes today.

Question to al those that call Voronov, Brezina etc 'grandpa': What do you call Radford and Savchenko? Mummies?

I call them inspirational, just like Zoe Jones. And yeah...grandpa and grandma or uncle and aunt, but only in a friendly way. I love it when older skaters (relatively speaking of course) still are on the game.

They really need to grab two random people from the audience and ask them to have a go at a pairs skating routine during the interval. Just to show how insanely difficult it is. I could probably manage the opening move - arms-aloft-catching-applause glide, and that's it!

That was such an interesting contrast between C-G/L and J/R. I was thinking bravo to Ashley and Tim for their passion, and drama, as well as the things like gorgeous lines and synchronization, quality. And then as Vanessa and Eric skated, I was thinking about how much Vanessa was smiling and seemed so happy. I didn't recall that being her most noticeable quality with Cipres, but then, their programs were usually more dramatic and a combination of contrasts and oppositions. Anyway, I enjoyed it.

J/R scored higher than I expected. They only lost on PCS by 0.28. No way was it that close.

I hope the Germans can stay on the podium. I didn’t realise Dennis married Bettina.

Yes, Dennis and Bettina married 'secretly', in the sense that they didn't announce it to the whole wide world immediately. It wasn't a real secret, they just announced it at a later time than directly after.
