Oh goodness me, this is such an awkward program. The potential is there but overall it's just meh. Finish seems rushed, choreo looks busy and doesn't make much sense.

Okay was any part of that first lift supposed to happen because I seriously couldn't tell.

Messy, but they grew into the program as it went on, that throw loop right on the music was SO good!!

Daria and Denis's team seem to be marketing them as the acrobatic team, but it's a bit much for now - a lot of the moves look a little tentative and the other elements are suffering. I wonder if they're treating this as a rebuilding year? Because if they get used to this style and come out next season with the acrobatic twists *and* secure elements, they could do extremely well.

No matter what, I love that Daria's confidence is clearly building.

P/K: Not their best skate. But this team has the intensity and edge needed for Black Swan that most Black Swan skates are missing. I'm really excited to see them at Rostelecom, hopefully performing both programs to their full potential.

To be fair to them, I don't think they've had a full off-season of training (Daria was out with mono for a while, I believe). This is the first time they've performed the FS this season if I'm remembering correctly.
I have to say, T/M should really skate to this sort of music. Why is everyone skating to the wrong thing??

I seem to remember this happening to Eric and Meagan at Skate Canada - you only get 1 chance to do the lift so they got 0 points as well.

Wow Daria and Denis. Now that was a program. Mistakes for sure but the drama made you forget about them. Its early yet....if they can skate it clean that will be unforgettable.

I really like Daria and Denis...but this was not it. They'll probably still medal with that great combo...but I hope they'll do better next time!
