The masterpiece is what JeanLuc does with his legs and feet. Any time I watch him, I’m completely mesmerized.

He is a mesmerizing. They have my favourite program of this season, next to P/C and the Italians.

So I love Chock and Bates and I'm a huge fan of the snake dance and have been since I first saw it. Particularly, I love and adore the lifts and arms/hands. But in terms of pure skating Hawayek/Baker were better. Better lines and edges, better speed. By quite a bit. The judges will not reward this, I know, but I think it's worth saying. That first one-foot footwork sequence is totally divine, and what ice dance is supposed to be all about.

Yes Tanith say it!

It was like they were skating on a cloud! I have tears.

Tanith did say it though! The program is constructed in a way where it looks like they're just skating to the music in an organic way, like it's not even choreographed at all. Like they're hearing the music for the first time and letting the moves flow out.

Beautiful dance, Kaitlyn and Jean-Luc. For anyone who's interested, they talked on an Ice Talk podcast about creating parts of it. They really used the time well. They lived with Kaitlyn's folks (she hadn't lived at home since she was 13) ... maybe home cooking helped Jean-Luc get more solid and Kaitlyn looks so sleek!
