2022-23 Cup of Russia - Stage 1 - Moscow

Masha goes clean! :cheer2:
She has had far better outings in Moscow Championships and Panin memorial so I was kinda expecting her to be a medal contender. I was hoping to see her at jr nats this season its still possible if she gets a second assignment and does well so im keeping my fingers crossed!

Oh boo, I saw this was on and was like - hey will I get to see Sofia Titova before I need to go to bed?

Doesn't look like it O.o Any ideas on why the stream is down? Did someone pull a plug they shouldn't have?

The stream had some issues already yesterday, not sure exactly what's the problem, but it's back now.

Well, I'm glad to have an explanation for the blue screen, because I was catching up on Nikita S's skate from yesterday and right at the end of his program the screen went to that blue one and I was like "Hey? Where's the score, it wasn't that bad!" Actually, Nikita did really well, random step sequence fall aside.

It is back, just in time for an ice-resurface. Dang, no Sofia T for me, well cheer her on for me

Im nervous for Lyuba aperently she has gotten injured which is why she wont be going for 4Lo here but is still going for 3As

Yep, especially worried because she said she was the one insisting on competing here, meaning that she was told she shouldn't be competing. Also, she apparently couldn't even put weight on her foot two days ago? Honestly, it sounds really concerning

I dont get it, what's the point there's still 5 more stages she has time, surely she wants to compete at her best instead. I dont think they wouldn't give her a second stage if she WD from here. There's just everything to loose and very little to gain from competing here :(

Shame about the fall, this has not been her competition ive seen her compete a lot this season. She has competed like 5 times in local moscow comps in both junior and novice category so ive seen her preform this program multiple times and I would say she has gone fully clean most of the times. I dont think she has fallen on it yet until today, but this is her CoR debut so she must have been nervous. She still did great!:cheer2:

Oh dear Nastya she did very well until that fall but that fall cost her a combo as well, that's the big risk in backloading every combo :console:

Nightmare start for Vika 💔 She did pull herself together after the 3rd jumping pass, but that's not going to be enough to keep her on the podium. :(

Oh dear Vika M did not have her best skate here, the 1st half was messy with popped 4S attempt that didn't really leave the ice, a pop and a step out on her 3lz eu 3s combo and a fall on 2A but she managed to rescue the rest of her program by landing 2 x 3-3 combos and 3lo at the second half. I feel for her really not what she wanted after her great short. I think she might have enough of a buffer to still medal here though :console: :(

Best 3A I've ever seen from Lyuba so far 😍 And promptly, a fall on a 3S, true junior men energy (even though we are watching junior women).
