Gosh, I hope there is no vpn option. But if not… do I need it for junior test skate too?

It has ‘of Moscow’ so there is a distinction. I am surprised that Golden Spin is not translated as Piruet—I thought I saw it translated like that (?)

I really wish they would release the junior list already I mean it literally starts tomorrow :drama: from marketing and ticket selling perspective It makes no sense to hide the participants so much

They probably have bigger concerns over there, but I dunno, it’s sort of part of the charm of the Cup of Russia that it’s always a surprise.

Wait Daniil, I wasn't expecting to see him in the earlier stages or at least until he gets his 3A back, but I guess they cant really control where he gets assigned as he is not on any national team. He was in a good shape and his normal triples looked strong but looking at that line up without even a 3A 6th is probably what he could realistically achieve, qualification to nats will be hard for him unless lots of the top men flop here and he beats 1 or 2 them with a clean basic triples programs or he wins his second stage.

Either way im happy he is slowly getting back even if nats qualification doesn't happen this season for him, it still a start and at least he is competing :cheer2:

Alina G moving competing in seniors wasn't something I was expecting but really exited to see how she does!

Popov, yay, but he is in a stacked field. But, yeah, either both junior and senior or just senior. Good luck! Glad so see Shul’skaya too.

So...can Akatieva beat Valieva??:scratch2:
I'm surprised that they are in the same GP. Isn't it too early for that ? Or maybe the fed thinks the real battle will be between the new seniors + Akatieva.

If Valieva restored her 4T and can jump two in the FP, she can win imo.

Men is also stacked. Kolyada, Aliev, Samarin, Lutfullin....good line-up.

https://www.1tv.com/live has worked well for me in the past with a clear stream

We haven't seen Valieva and Akateva head to head before. It's possible this is the only time we see it with both in their prime depending on what the future holds for Valieva.

They're also building a new star. If Akateva wins she does what Shcherbakova and Trusova couldn't do all of last season until the free skate of the Olympics (and that has an asterisk against in my mind because of what Kamila had to deal with off the ice).

I really like what they've done they are pushing both skaters to be at their absolute best, not giving Valieva free gold medal, and giving Akateva the spotlight against the best skater in the world to see if she can deal with the pressure.

I think Kamila continues with the 2A (I imagine she tries to bring her 3A for the Russian Nationals if Akateva and Petrosyan are stable with their ultra-si) and as said above I agree she uses her 4T in the free skate. Akateva will have to make all her jumps to win but she can do it.
