2022-23 Cup of Russia - Stage 1 - Moscow

Nikita and Timofey visually look quite similar from far away (tall and lanky, almost platinum blonde hair), but their skating is basically completely opposite.

Timofey has wonderful skating skills, spins and presentation, but lacks technical difficulty, while Nikita has technical difficulty but still has a lot of work to do on the non-jumping aspects of skating (though he has already improved some in that area).

SEMION!! His shape in early September was very good, but then he had two bad competitions. I questioned whether the decision to perform in the first stage was wise. It was! His triples look easy.

Gachinski in K&C says that Semion relaxed too early.

Well, this was a really great competition to start the junior CoR series. I'm still over the moon - Timofey S. exceeded my wildest expectations here. :yahoo:
I'll skip the rest of this stage but can't wait for Sochi next week. :love2: See you around!

What even is there more to say than "Wow"?

Hopefully, he'll be able to keep his form throughout the season, and not face the same issues as so many Russian men (particularly from Team Tut) once he enters puberty.
