Yes. She's a normal 16yo but by figure skating standards, one can think that she's 18yo.

Kami has grown beautifully, she looks stronger than the test skates, she is getting in competitive shape

Kamila is slowly working her way into the season. That boulder at the top of the hill is building up speed on the way to the bottom.

It’s becoming apparent that because of her all around arsenal, even at 75%, she can still win easily. She’ll end up winning by 10-20 instead of 60.

- How are you feeling?

- I'm happy. A little bit of adrenaline was due to excitement, I haven't performed for a long time. But it's really cool that I'm back here in the competitive arena. To feel this is certainly happiness.

- Today there was a double axel instead of a triple one. How is the work on restoring the ultra-si element progressing?

- Look, it's only been a month. I had an injury. And I'm still glad that I jumped a quadruple toeloop in training. We need to move slowly. Health is more important now, there is no rush. The post–Olympic season is always not about "faster, higher, stronger", etc.

- Since you jump a quadruple toeloop, has the injury situation improved?

- Yes, of course. Everything is slowly coming back to normal.

Kamila Valieva - that was lovely. She has grown up so much artistically and deserves her high PCS scores. I wonder if she will go for one or two 4T’s in the free skate.
Sofia Akatieva - I thought she would be closer. She just missed her 3A. It is obvious who they still want as their star. She should aim for the silver medal. I wonder what elements she will go for in the free skate
Anastasia Zinina - I loved her. Ever since I saw her at Juniors, I have appreciated her. A lovely skater. I’m hoping her or Alina G. get the bronze medal. I wonder if Zinina will go for 3A, 4T or 3Lz 3Lo….in the free skate. She is one that if she goes for too much, she can fall apart. So, it will be interesting to see what jumps she goes for. I’m glad her score is close to Akatieva.
Alina G - that was a weird fall. I like her cruella program more than Trusova. She is still in contention for that bronze and with a 4S in her back pocket, anything can happen
Shulskaya - I think she managed to sneak into the top 6. She looks a lot stronger than last year. I’ve always enjoyed her skating. But, she can never make it out of Russia. I hope she skates cleanly and hangs on to the top 6.

She was helped out by Akatieva going ahead of her.
Once she fell on the 3A, Kamila and her team knew that they didn’t need to get out of 2nd gear today,

Akatieva didn’t put the scoreboard pressure on Kamila which might have changed the equation.

Yes, it seems that Kamila’s non jump elements have gotten better. She is so great that we forget sometimes that this is only her second senior season.

Kamila is figure skating goddess. Actually there aren't any reasons to show the score at all.

She got 82.16 with step-out on 3A at international competition (Olympic).
She got 83.9 with clean skate with 2A.

What is your problem?

Kamala’s scores should’t be in numbers anyway. Just put “Great” as the score and move on.

Kamila didn't fall on the 3A in the Short at the Olympics, she just had a step-out.

By the way, her 3A in the Olympic SP got her more points than it's even possible to get with a 2A.

And before I forget, I changed my mind from a few days ago. Now I’m glad figure skating wagering isn’t available in the USA. Would have lost money today. Haha
