It will be VERY CLOSE battle between Sonya and Kami this season. With clean SP from Sonya, Kami cant afford ANY mistakes. + Sonya PCS will clearly grow in season.
Right now Kami have PCS advantage + Sonya have mistake in SP, but if later in season Kami dont ramp-up her content, Sonya will easily take the lead

I mean it is not like judges ignore Kami and go only for Sonya mistakes

She did a Kostner. I'm overstating, because Kostner was beating people with lower difficulty and much more mistakes.
But basically a huge gap after the SP + the high PCS that you will get no matter what give you a big advantage.

It seems like people forgot the +10 points from the SP and Valieva's abitility to get +75PCS (and +4/5GOE) easily.

Technical panel and judges are separate entities, and I have honestly no complaints at all about the technical panel at this event. As I said, I won't comment on the work of the judges, but they are not as consistent as the technical panel here.

I still think Vika gave up on single skating little too soon but im so glad she is doing well in pairs! I just fear the fed will never get behind these 2 which is a shame

Seems like TP just picks the sbs jump with the mistake. Seems to me that Vasilieva dit a 3lz-2A.

Judging by a few of the comments yesterday, I think some people wanted to forget the +10 advantage from the SP.

I do think the gap in PCS between Kamila and Sofia was way too wide, especially considering that Kamila fell on a jump.
But even closing that gap wouldn't have made a difference in the overall standings.

If Sofia had skated clean in the SP yesterday and still lost today, then that would be a different story for me.

Anyway, well done for both of them (except for Kamila's fall).

I don't disagree with you, but it would have been pretty hard to ignore Kamila's mistake since she fell.
Would they have called the "<" if she hadn't fallen? Who knows.

I couldn't figure out if it was part of the program or she was mad because of the fall.
Anyway, it "works" for the program too.
