I vote for Josefin Taljegard! But Natasha McKay would be fine too, I enjoyed her at Finlandia.I vote for Kailani Craine for skate america, she is fun to watch and I don't have see her new program yet.

Unfortunately none of Kailani, Josefin or Natasha are on the replacement list because none of them were in the top 75 on the SB best list last season (and none have won a Challenger this fall like Rinka). Josefin was 78th, Kailani was 81st and Natasha was 84th. Sometimes they make exceptions when it's a last minute replacement, but I wouldn't expect it.
Options for SA, if they do fill the spot, would include Yuhana Yokoi, Alexia Paganini, Eliska Brezinova, Lea Serna, Julia Sauter, Emmi Peltonen or Jenni Saarinen.

Good to see vacated spots filled promptly, and more skaters getting their chances.
However, JSF's unfairness is now even more obvious, as their weakest top man just got two GP *and* a Challenger, while the other men, save Kazuki who also got lucky, got a big fat ZERO Challengers, and will sorely miss the points and reputation they could easily have had. This makes me so angry.
The same happened in women.
If anyone here genuinely cares for the Japanese skaters in general, please let's remember the names of all who were wronged this year by their own Fed (who should have been making sure their skaters get the most opportunities, like every other Fed): Mai, Rino, Rion, Yuhana, Kao, Sena, Shun, Sota, and Tatsuya. I'm not going to forget this anytime soon.

I don't understand? The spot has just been filled by Koshiro. Or do you mean it would be hard to get there from Japan?

Yes, was it easier for Koshiro and that's why he got it. I love Shun, and to think I could have seen him live.

Shun already has two GP assignments, if you mean that you wish he'd gotten the SA vacancy.

It is my understanding of GP series that it is actually the organizing federation that makes the invites... so in this case, Skate America. They could have even replaced Yuma with a skater from another country... So I am not sure how JSF is responsible here. (Though, I agree they haven't been generous with their skaters for the Challenger Series, to say the least).

Sad about the withdraws. There is now two spots open in pairs at Espoo I suppose. Does Swedish twins have another spot? If not, could Finland invite them as host spot? Who else is there possible without spot who could replace the missing pairs? I love pairs and I can accept anyone, just hope to see full field.

I hope Efimova/Blommaert are able to fill one of the spots. Based on their Challenger scores, they could challenge for a medal/a place in the final, but currently are only assigned to Skate Canada.
Crafoord/Crafoord and Valesi/Piazza currently have 1 spot each (both were at Skate America) so could be in line for a second assignment? Osipova/Epstein are also a possible option, they don't yet have any assignments.

Efimova is born in Finland, it is very likely they get the spot then.
Edit: She is not just born in Finland, but when she was junior single skater she was also a member of Finnish national team. Some of you probably knew and I have also written this in some threads before. But based on that, if Finnish Federation can decide, the host spot would be natural to give them. I think Finns also like to call the Swedes - Swedish skaters -> Maybe some Swedish fan would like to come to see their skaters live as the trip is not long.
