Sad to see Kailani go, she was one of the most distinctive & classy skaters out there, and I liked her omnipresent smile. It sounds like she herself is happy with her career, and planning to coach, so good luck to her!

The dance duo Anabel Morozova - David Narizhny has broken up, the athletes will not perform at the Russian Figure Skating Championships. This was announced to TASS on Thursday by Alexander Kogan, Acting President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation (FFKKR).

Morozova and Narizhny became the winners of the stages of the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow and Kazan.

"Such a pair no longer exists, they will not perform at the Russian Championship," Kogan said.

Nikolai Morozov said that the reason for the collapse of a pair of Morozova/Narizhny in different views on the training process. And also that Annabel has already started looking for a new partner and that she still intends to skate for Russia.

"When the couple was just being created, we discussed a certain plan of joint work, which included periodic trips to the United States for an internship with American specialists. Annabel and David spent the summer in America, which allowed the guys to make a strong prediction: at the stages of the Russian Grand Prix in Moscow and Kazan, they twice became champions.
However, now the situation has developed in such a way that the athletes' views on the training process have diverged, and therefore further joint training and performances simply do not seem possible"

Best of luck to Kailani in her coaching career. I don't follow the ladies as much as I used to but
I always looked forward to watching her skate. She had such a charming and fun
personality on the ice.. She has had a long successful career and I wish her the best in
her future endeavors!

Yes, I always enjoyed watching Kailani. How much she loves the sport was palpable in her skating. I wonder if she'd ever consider solo ice dance. I've always felt she might be good as an ice dancer.

Good luck to Kailani in her off-ice plans. ❤️

Wow this is crazy to me since David had a good partnership with Shanaeva and dropped her for Morozova. They also did well in the Grand Prixs. Russian ice dance really is so dramatic!

I am sorry to let you know that my kids Elizaveta Zhuk and Martin Bidar, who skated in Pairs for the Czech Republic, have split.

It was for family reasons on Liza's part.

Here is the announcement from the Fed:

Thank you to @Gourlie for bringing it to our attention over in their Fan Fest.

And thank you to Liza and Martin for the joy they brought us during their time together.

I wish them all the best for the future.

Could you post the link to the actual media to load here in the forum so those who don't have instagram can see it? TIA!

Ah, good! Somebody else who doesn't have Instagram! :cheer:  :points:

Well, strictly speaking, I do. But I don't use it. I set up an account in response to them starting to limit the number of posts that you can view without being signed in. But, I have found that I can't be bothered signing in when I reach the limit. I haven't posted anything myself; I haven't followed anybody (I hate that terminology. Saying you are "following" somebody sounds so creepy!); and I have only ever sent one PM. So, I may as well not have it.

Sorry for the inconvenience. I tend to avoid posting things as media as a lot of the time the embedded post doesn't display anyway. Depending on the site, you either get a massive box telling you that the media cannot be displayed and to click to view the post on the site; or you just get the tail end of the address, which is not even clickable so you have to manually construct the addrsss.

Since you have to go to the sites anyway, it is easier just to post the raw address.

These issues aside, I have never been a fan of embedded posts anyway. They make the pages cluttered, and really disrupt the flow of the thread. It is a lot tidier just having the link to the post.

But, since you want embedded posts, I'll try to remember to do it both ways in future.

Hey, at least it'll give me some practice. I've only ever done a media post once before, and it took me at least six attempts to get it right!

I have it because right now it’s most of the skaters primary method of communication. When they all go on to the next hot new thing I will also.

FSU is reporting Germany.

I’m intrigued by this pairing, it could be interesting, especially if they chose a more Euro-style. Best of luck to them!
i am also looking forward to seeing what they come up with. I like them both so much and have missed them this season. Should be interesting to see them play off each other.
