2022-23 Russian Local Events – Discussion

Huh, what's going on here? Aren't the senior men supposed to be competing now?
I'm really tired and I'd like to take a nap, but I also don't want to miss Andrei and obviously the schedule is not up to date anymore. :(

Masha P just tried a 4S  couldn't rotate or land it but just trying it is huge

Other than that 4S attempt she went clean, which is doesn't happen often so im really happy about that:clap:
Im ngl with how much she struggles with harder triples and 3-3 im not too happy they are going for 4S

I wonder when it changed. Years ago, those going for ultra-c were the ones with very solid triples and combos, rarely doing mistakes on them.
Now the ones with unstable triples are trying quads. The pressure on athletes and coaches to be competitive isn't decreasing a bit.

I think you pretty much nailed it there is a pressure to stay competitive in addition i feel like the belief that a girl cant learn a stable ultra c when they are older also plays a role to why there's a rush to start learning ultra c jumps.

Attention: No participants have apparently been approved yet (26.03.), but if this goes ahead, it could be interesting as preliminary competitors include
Junior Men: Aleksey Efremenko, Ilya Mavlyanov, Aleksandr Melnikov, Kirill Nozdrevatikh, Timofey Stolyarenko.
Senior Men: Kirill Andrusik, Andrey Anisimov, Genrikh Gartung, Maksim Belyavskiy, Kirill Kropylev, Mark Lukin, Nikita Sentsov.

All of the above have been removed from the list!
