A long (almost an hour) but very interesting podcast with Kaetlyn Osmond. Talks some about her career, but more about her post-career adjustment.
I found this to be an interesting podcast.

I like Kaetlyn because I think she answers questions honestly.

1) Her recap of the Olympics 2018 was wrong. She mentioned she was in 2nd place after the SP. She actually finished in third place. Maybe, she thought she was in second place because to the start order for the free skate. Also, she mentioned she knew she would get bronze because the last skater was the eventual winner. I’m pretty sure Zagitova, the winner skated before and Evgenia skated last. It is just interesting to me, how athletes sometimes remember the actual event different than the reality. I’m sure she didn’t mean to be wrong.

2) Retirement - May 2019; that was actually sad. She retired because Skate Canada didn’t reach out to her, along with her coach. So, she felt nobody wanted her anymore. It is amazing how a simple follow up by either one of those two parties could have impacted whether or not she continued in the sport.

3) Mentality - I love her mentality about not caring about her placement and scores and just focusing on her performance. The thing that shocked me the most, is how much she hated to train. It is amazing that she even got a bronze medal with this lack of discipline. Good for her!!

I’m watching too!! 🤗
Team Les Supremes was so good!! 👏

Edit: they better give Canada the gold medal 🥇
They were the clear best team today

They truly were !!!! Gold for Canada : Les Suprêmes junior, their first ever gold. So as we speak, Canada holds both world Synchro titles as Les Suprêmes senior won last year's WC. Let's hope for many repeats :)

I am happy to see Synchro getting more and more depth all over and more and more recognition ! At Montreal worlds, Les Suprêmes senior have been invited for the gala !

I watched. They did a good job, those Les Suprêmes!

Spoiler: I think that Piper & Paul can reach the top of the podium this week at Worlds, even if the scores over the last 12 months suggest otherwise! I've created a blog post previewing the Ice Dance top 10 which explains why I think they can: https://blissful-sarahtiwa1.wordpress.com/2024/03/16/2024-worlds-preview-ice-dance/ . Does anyone know how healthy LaLa are right now? Is my Top Six prediction still realistic?

Synchro Junior Championship… watched the opening, both short and free programs and the medal ceremony. Costumes and music were wonderful as was the yodeling contest on Instagram 😂
I am in awe of this discipline.. all teams did well. Medals well deserved! Congrats to all

Side note to Worlds, didn't know where else to post. Both Wesley and Kaiya were added to shows for SOI Canada. Kaiya Ottawa show, Wesley Vancouver show.
That's wonderful; it will give them some exposure. I was a bit worried about Kaiya after her disappointing performance at junior worlds. Hopefully this will perk her up.
