2023-24 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 4 - Kazan

Valieva's jumps:

1. 4T f
2. 3F+2A
3. 3Lo
4. 3S
----
5. 3Lz+3T*+2A* (3Lz REP)
6. 3F+2T
7. 3T

I don't get it. AFAIK you can only do one Axel sequence in the long, but could someone explain why her first 3T got nulled? She didn't seen to zayak anything apart from the 2nd Axel seq.

edit: so I'm guessing that if someone does an extra Axel seq., all jumps except the 1st one get no credit. Is that correct?
From the ISU handbook, page 22:

More than one jump sequence in the program:
There can only be one jump sequence in a Free program. If the skater executes two jump sequences in a program, only the first jump of the jump unit will count.

First jump sequence in the program: 3T + 2A + Seq
Second jump sequence in the program: 3S + 1A* + 2T* + Seq + REP
Second jump sequence in the program: 3S + 2T* + 1A* + Seq + REP

3Fx2, 3Tx2

skater may not repeat a triple jump more than twice in a routine, and the later jump must be done in a combination or sequence.

Her repeat 3T is single.
Ty. I beleive, however, that with the 2nd repeated jump (3T in this case), it doesn't matter whether the first or the second 3T is done in combination. She did have it in combination with the Lz. I guess there's stuff I still don't know about.

edit: got it, all jumps in a repeated Axel SEQ get no credit except the 1st one. Just as I thought.

And, like, in pairs, in Russia, they have to lol. I mean, it's either 3Lz combos or quad up on twists and throws.

Oh no... Kadyrova! Girl! Nooooo!

3Fx2, 4T plus 3Tx2

skater may not repeat a triple jump more than twice in a routine, and the later jump must be done in a combination or sequence. Plus, she already had 4T, so one triple one quad, jump can be repeated in the free, and the third would be invalided.

Her repeat 3T is single and she has 3x 4, 3Ts
She has no problems with her jump repeats. The 3T is invalidated because of the sequence.

Zayak rule is brutal. Ask Mozalev.
