The Russian grand prix are over now. What will i do during my week-ends?

I enjoyed men discipline more than women discipline this year. I got so many favourites that i don't know who i want on nats podium. Petr, Matvei, Zhenya, Gleb, Sasha, Vlad and Makar in top 7, in any order, will make me happy. I didn't include Semion because i don't want to be too hopeful.

He really laughs with all his soul.
That's why he would so fit into my circle of friends. Let not see Thomas Bach that - he'd think he's taken something, as he himself doesn't know what laughing and joy is.

I think there's a slight chance of a Morozov/Eremenko being invited. But they are not on the national team, and have not finished even one stage...

Kurnosenko/Varlamov managed to qualify despite having only one stage.

More thoughts:

Ermakova/Krylov deserve nationals. They are better than Krausova/Korochkin and Usova/Antonov. But they were given only one stage.

The field became deeper and stronger. I think the discipline is improving.

Ice dancers need 6 stages back, next season there will be Kaganovskaia/Nekrasov, Cirisano/Pasechnik, Angelopol/Ushakova, Kolomenskaia/Frolov, Shcherbakova/Goncharov, probably more moved up juniors.

Mironova/Ustenko might stay on the main national team. They are first ever couple from SPb on the national team.

It's difficult to predict who will be in the reserve. Prokopets/Vaskovich will likely lose it. They didn't improve after last season and others did.

Can someone let me know what are the upcoming major Russian events?

So far I know: Channel 1 Cup, Русский Вызов (the show competition, idk how to translate it to English), Nats, JNats, J Finals, Spartakiad

Aside from that, do we just have to wait for next season? Its finishing way too fast. I dont enjoy any other sports/events other than skating. 😕

Русский Вызов (the show competition, idk how to translate it to English)
Russian Challenge.

There are also the jumping competition, two novice nationals (last year it was very good). Some other novice competitions too.

The will be two Channel One Cups. For juniors (it's already soon). And the senior one next year.

So far apart... And then a 5 month drought with no skating...

Subject to change. The final entries are approved by the coaching council.

These 18 girls who made it to Nats not only have the highest places on their stages, but also the top 18 scores for the two stages (very rare situation). So the selection is fair despite the uneven stages.
Poor Sviridenko. 1st alternate again.

So is there not a Grand Prix final? I wonder he will host the junior channel 1 cup, guess it will be very much like the channel 1 senior cup 🤔

Very sad this is pretty much over. Yes, we have Russian Nationals, Jr. Nationals, and the Russian Novice girls are usually wonderful as well, but I really love the Russian Grand Prix series the way it is set up. Maybe they should make this permanent, even if they rejoin the ISU competitions.

Did Kaganovskaya/Angelopol skated this season? Their FD impressed me last season.
They are now Kaganovskaya/Nekrasov and Ushakova/Angelopol after a soap opera worthy break up played out on social media. Hopefully, next year, we will see all 4 inject drama into their programs. If I have time for Open Novella Contest this year, I am so writing this...lol.
