2023-24 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 6 - Moscow

Hope he won't Zayak after that popped 4T. And another pop. And a third pop. And a fourth. That pop-corn will be very salty.

I like this program so much better than the short. Maybe just due to the shirt...

Shame all the pops happened.

He really is the most unpredictable skater.

Well, it started well for Aliev. But, I could just watch his step sequence and be happy with his skating. I know based on Tuk's latest interview this has been really hard for the senior elite skaters but I hope next season will be different and they can get their motivation back.

The last two seasons, Aliev has skated better overall than he did in the Olympic season. I don't think his motivation is the problem.

They will not be allowed back in, I'm sure. There are no signs towards that. So... they better find a way to be motivated or switch countries or whatever. I hate that the ISU keeps them hanging and hoping instead of making a clear statement, but that's the way it is. I think if they just hope to get back they will be disappointed again and then motivation will surely drown.

First skater saved by the judges.
Yes, but it's no question he's one of the very best skaters Russia has in terms of PCS, so with the constant giving out of 9s in PCS now if a skater deserves them, it's Aliev. And he didn't fall or anything, he mostly just popped, that does not really ruin the performance overall.
