2023 Bosphorus Cup | Nov 27 - Dec 3

Inga is so good! Her creepy program is something you should probably enjoy.
Missed the beginning, did she try 3A?

After calling it so wrong with Formchenkova, I didn't want to embarrass myself with trying to call the Top 2.

But, this could go either way. They both had a fall. Inga had an advantage from the SP, but I think she had another mistake in the FS, whereas I don't think Stefania did.

Nah, no need to worry. Inga wins.

Oh, what's happened? Efe Ergin DINCER (TUR) pulled out in the middle of a spin, and went over to the panel.

He lifted his left foot up, so I take it there is something wrong with his boot.

He went over to the boards on the camera side of the arena, but because of those pesky perspex catch fences that aren't actually see-through, we don't know what is happening. But, my guess is he was doing a temporary fix on broken laces.

After a while, he went back over to the panel, and talked for a while. And then went back out into the middle of the ice.

He then had to wait until the music got to the right point, and then got going again.

The audience were certainly very supportive of him.

Hope he doesn't lose out too much for it.

Taking a long time for his scores to come through. The audience are trying to keep his spiritis up during the long wait.

WOW!!! Massive scores!!! :jaw:

He goes into a 23.98 point lead in the FS, and a 32.86 point lead overall.

And that's even with 5 points in deductions! 😲

:cheer: WELL DONE EFE!!! :cheer:

Right, going away to eat.

Hope the stream is still there when I come back.

Eh, Konstantin again failed to the trixel. He failed and fell.
Ali almost was able to do 4T+3T, but fell from triple axel, from triple lutz and also made some mistakes. He lost the free skate to Kostya, but the advantage of the first day was enough to win on the total. Ali - first, Konstantin - second

Days 1 and 2 were for the Advanced Novice and Junior Singles skaters. Days 3 and 4 are for the Senior Singles skaters and the Ice Dancers.

We kick of with a Senior Seingels double-bill. 19 girls followed by 14 boys. The girls are arranged into a group of 4; followed by three groups of 5. No resurfacings until the end of the segment.

Livestream for Senior Ladies FS is now on air.

Here is the link for the livestream:

Sorry, I didn't notice that the skaters were already out on the ice, because there has been no sound since the advert on loop ended. And I wasn't looking at the screen as I was opening the Time Schedules for the competitions later in the day.

Sound came back towards the end of the Warm-Up. And it's a good job it did, because Russalina SHAKROVA (KAZ) started us off with a programme to "Crazy In Love" by Beyoncé!!!

What a great way to wake yourself up at 05:10am!

I take it that Jogaile AGLINSKYTE (LTU) has withdrawn. Because we are looking at empty ice.

Yep, she has.

We started the opening group with "Crazy In Love", and we finish the second group with "Crazy In Love".

Unfortunately, it was not the same version each time. Ceyda SAGLAM (TUR) there now used the slowed down version that takes all the excitement out of the song.

I don't know who her coach is, but I would bet that the girl sitting on the other side of Ceyda is the coach's daughter. They look VERY alike!

She goes into 8th position, just one position and 5.58 points ahead of the girl that skated to the original version of "Crazy In Love", Russalina SHAKROVA (KAZ).

Looks like the first skater of Group 3, #10 Maia MAZZARA (FRA), is another withdrawal. She has been called, and we have a skater going aimlessly back and forth on the ice looking totally lost.

Yep, she has. Ceren KARAŞ (TUR) can stop looking lost now.

Mmmm. Eliška BŘEZINOVÁ (CZE) didn't make it to results area. We were just looking at an empty sofa.

Can't say I'm surprised. She looked very deflated when she finished. Being a cactus is taking it's toll on her.

Although she wasn't there to find out, she went into 6th position.

I wonder if Sofiya's ISU Bio is ever going to be corrected to show that she is skating her SP to "Amies-ennemies" by Nâdiya rather than the Chopin waltz that it is based on...

Wow! Sofiya FARAFONOVA (KAZ) goes into 3rd. Going into this, I was expecting her to be the overnight leader.

So Taiwan's TING Tzu-Han continues her long run at the top!

And an impressive lead it is too: 11.11 points over Anna LEVKOVETS (KAZ)!

This really is turning into a good day for her, isn't it @cohkaix!
