2023 Denis Ten Memorial Junior (non CS) Events

I have a feeling that the guys from Kazakhstan were told that the theme of the rhythm dance is Latina...
Uhoh, how could that happen?

And do you only get one deduction for a music violation, or do you get lots for every wrong song you use?

@elektra blue as you can see, guys from Kazakhstan love thrashy Italian classics, just like the whole former USSR
I'm nostalgic for my 3 years old age, how I used to dance to such music back then :jump:

If I understood correctly, it was a mix some of Adriano Celentano's songs.

You know, I would tend to think the same.

Right, you're our expert on Italian music. Do the songs actually fit the time frame? Because if they do, they could be being very clever and using a programme that they can recycle for another season's theme.

They're both Muscovites, that's why!

I identified with certainty only one Adriano Celentano song, Il Tempo Se Ne Va (1980), so the time frame is consistent here.
I can't say for the other musical segments.

Damn, and there's a Russian connection, but what can we do, we are like that, we love Italians wholeheartedly :)
1978-1983 was a great decade for Italian music in Russia, but in the whole USSR too.

come and watch the seniors  let's see if somebody else loves italian old glories

I've just caught up on the juniors. Inkyong Park's short had some charming choreography.
Stefania Yakoleva was great but not a fan of the music.

Neither am I, truth be told. The "Schindler's List" music is a really emotional piece. Just think of how moving Lipnitsaya's programme to it was. But adding vocals just takes all of that emotion away.

Warm-up Group 1
1 Rubina SIMONYAN ARM
2 Tamara ABAGI AUS
3 Jasmine COETZEE RSA
4 Viktoriya VAGAPOVA UZB

Rubina skating to an oldie - You;'e Just to Good to be True by Frankie Valli.
Such a positive choice to skate too and very musical and fun.
Oh I am gonna have this song stuck in my head.

In contrast Tamara chose Sequels, Crazy - official Gnarls Barkley Epic cover by 2WEI. Rough day with the jumps, but nice spins.

Jasmine chose to skate to Twilight Saga (soundtrack). Love one sleeved costume in shades of navy, purple and red. Nice presentation, a step in difficulty above the other girls. Very neat and polished.

I'm here too - its 12:51 am for me

And I thought I was doing well getting up this early! :drama:

Have you had any sleep yet? Or is that coming later?

I loved it too. And I was hoping that would be the case, because I felt really sorry for her yesterday.

Hey, although she hasn't moved up overall, she's still leading the Free Skate! (Well, she was when I typed this. She's just been overtaken by South Africa's Jasmine Coetzee).

Viktoriya skates to Interstellar Main Theme (Abandoned Remix) by Hans Zimmer, Abandoned. She is our hair braiding fan with beautiful thick braids and a a white with greyish skirt.

Yes I slept after watching with you earlier. Had a lovely rest and am ready to go for the day. Jasmine was quite good too. I am currently liking Viktoriya's energy and thick, thick braids. Fluffy hair and fluffy skirt, springy style.
