I am not sure we can compare Deanna and Alexa... sure, Deanna is older but she also too a long hiatus from the sport and changed discipline. For her, the goal is still ahead.... Alexa already has gotten some hardware both at worlds and in the team event at the Olympics. She has been skating non-stop (minus illness) for quite a while now. It's a very different path with different trajectories.
