He has never advanced to the 1/4 let alone the final.

ngl I wanted this format ever since they started doing the jumping tournaments but now I have to admit this format is little slow.
It likely will work better with pairs and women as there's less of them.

Mark, Zhenya, Vlad and Kolya deserve the final the most IMO. This format is just more fair. But there are no random qualifiers or drama.

There isnt but there's less risks for skaters as now they dont have to win their bracket against 1 skater each round, they just need to place in the top 12/8/4 ect and the scores count from previous rounds so the stakes are less which leads there to be less tension and excitement which makes it seem far longer to me.
